All of the reports I hear and read about Optima's are that the quality has significantly gone downhill over the past few years. Thoughts?

I just bought one a few months ago. No problems yet however I did return the one that replaced this because it was dead on arrival! Not sure how long it sat at Bass Pro. The new one has been great.

For starting batteries they rock, but trolling....I wouldn't use as long and often as you fish Dan.

T-1275. I am not concerned with weight, they are over 80lbs each but you can not drain them in 2 days of fishing in high wind. Love them.

Cory - Forget Deka. I've been through those batteries... The customer service and exchange policy was terrible.
Cam - Where can I get Trojans at? Batteries that is...(haven't used the other kind since I been in TX)

I had three in my boat, only have one which will be replaced soon. Optima lasted less than two years. Wrote a letter to them and never received a reply. I have Cabelas AGM for trolling batteries and have just been great. Will be getting another for starting battery.

It's unbelievable how long they last. We put in at 6 am last month on fork and fished until 2:30 am and still had great battery power. Most I have seen last about half that time.
