Where: Lake Waco - Speegleville Park for weigh in, but may launch anywhere When: Saturday August 20th - 6:45AM-12:15PM (Must be in line by 12:45) - It's plenty warm by 12:15
This tournament is open to all with a $50 registration per team. 90% goes to the payout at the tournament and 10% goes to our series prizes.
Please see rule 1 below to mail your entry. I may be up there in the next couple of weeks to fish some, so local folks can contact me to see when I might be arond the lake.
I moved the time back 15 minutes from the SH tourney to account for the later sunrise and the drive that many will be having that morning. Basically, it will be the same light period we had at SH. The gates open at 6AM to launch. It's a 4 lane ramp, so it should be quick easy access. Be safe as it will still be pretty dark!
Current Team Standings (Top 5): 1. Gaby/ Jordan - 26 Points 2. Loafman/Loafman - 25 Points 3. Buchhorn/Sirkis - 17 Points 4. Wigley/Brown - 17 Points 5. McAffrey/ Skidmore - 16 Points
RULES: 1. All tournaments will cost $50 to enter per team. 90% of the money goes towards that tournament, with the remaining 10% carrying over to the series prizes. Monney must be mailed or dropped off to the tournament director Lucas Loafman at 8615 Nighthawk Cir Temple, TX 76502 before any tournament. Please call me at 254-289-9821 to discuss any issues. 2. You may enter alone or with the partner(s) of your choice. Teams may consist of three people if only one of the team members is over is the age of 18. Practice is allowed until sundown Friday the day before the tournament. There are no off limits periods during the week prior. Spectators are not allowed in boat with the team during tournament hours. 3. Tournament waters shall be defined as areas open to all participants of the event and accessible by normal navigational means only. Fishing within 50 feet of a marina gas pump or within 50 feet of a competitors boat without permission from the first boat on that spot is prohibited. A safe and courteous distance should be maintained when trolling motors are in use. Any violation of off limits water will result in disqualification. When fishing bridges, another boat may fish the next set of horizontal pilings regardless of spacing. 4. The decision to cancel or postpone a tournament is in the sole discretion of the tournament director, Lucas Loafman, after factoring in weather and competitor concerns. If a flooding event happens, the tournament location may be shifted by the tournament director. In the event of a cancellation or a move of the tournament, tournament entry fees will be refunded. 5. Teams may start fishing (line in water) anywhere on the lake at the time designated by the tournament director and all lines must be out of the water by the designated stopping time. The designated stop and start times may vary due to weather conditions so check the Texas Fishing Forum or call Lucas at 254-289-9821 for the latest information. You will have 30 minutes from the designated stopping time to be in the weigh in line. One partner is allowed to weigh in the fish, but both must be present within 40 minutes of the stopping time. 6. Two-or three-person teams must remain in boat while fishing. If one partner exits the boat to use the RR or for whatever reason, all team members must stop fishing until that partner returns. 2 kayaks may count as one boat, but they must remain within 25 feet of each other at all times. No bank fishing is allowed. 7. Teams may use rod and reel combos, hand held pole and reel combos or hand held poles. There is a 4- pole limit per team (2 hooks or baits per pole) regardless of the number of team members. 8. Live and artificial bait may be used. 9. Crappie must be hooked and landed with a rod or pole by team member(s). Crappie must be hooked through the lip or in the mouth. (No foul hooking) Landing nets may be used. 10. Teams must comply with all state fishing and boating regulations. The use of PFDs and kill switches is highly recommended and required by law depending on age. Fishing and boating licenses are the responsibility of team members. 11. A team may not weigh-in more than 7 crappie and 5 of those 7 crappie must be alive when entering the official weigh-in line. Any team presenting more than 7 crappie will lose its largest fish until the number of seven is weighed. You may weigh additional dead crappie, but it will subject the team to pound penalty per dead fish. Alive or dead will be determined by the tournament director. 12. All crappie brought to the scales for weigh-in must have been caught during the tournament hours from tournament waters by the team bringing them to the scales. 13. All crappie presented for weigh-in must meet state length requirements for the state in which they are being weighed and may not have any weight enhancements. Any team bringing an illegal crappie to the weigh-in line will be disqualified. 14. In the event of a tie, money and points will be split between the two teams. 15. Protests must be made in writing to the tournament director within 30 minutes following the end of the official weigh-in. All protests must cite the rule number(s) allegedly broken. 16. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be consumed during tournament hours. 17. NO ONE can be hired or compensated in any way to fish with you during the tournament. 18. Instances of poor sportsmanship may be grounds for disqualification if the tournament director deems it appropriate. 19. No hole sitting by competitor or non-competitor boat during the tournament. 20. Series champion: Points towards the series champion will be awarded on a 10 point scale, with first at each event receiving 10 points and 10th receiving 1. All boats outside of the top 10 will receive 0 points. If a partner is unavailable for subsequent tournaments you may still accumulate points for that team if you fish alone without that partner. If you replace that partner, you will accumulate points as a new team.

thanks for the long range support Josh, its a small circuit, but well organized and well run, hopefully we can get some of these guys who were crying for a local tournament scene, to come out of the closet and fish it now that its a reality. We dont require no membership, we dont " jump you in", you aint gotta get a tattoo, no creed to recite, no card to carry in your wallet, no t shirt, no secret handshakes.. JUST COME FISH!!! AND HAVE A BLAST!!!!!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Thanks Steve and Dave,
I bet this will be the best lake of the circuit for numbers and probably size as well. If it follows last years tourney it should be really good.
good luck to everyone that fishes it

Yesterday Waco gave up a two man limit in around 3 hours. Big 7 went 7.15. I did not fish any timber looking for bigger fish. Brush piles only. Shallow early and then the bite seemed to move a bit deeper.

Doesn't look like it. Temple Fall Softball season opens that day and our first game is at 10am. With two kids playing ball, I feel like I am at a baseball/softball game/practice everyday!

Waco Update- Caught a one man limit this morning. Fish were definitely not very aggressive and my only saving grace was that I had decided to take some minners to look for some bigger fish. Fish were still shallow, but not concentrated on any one place that I looked at. Size was down as well. Didn't catch a fish that would go 1 lb.
