Well, it's just too dang hot for fishing. Temps later in the week are supposed to go as high as 109 - with the humidity, that's a heat index of 124!!

It's so hot that I didn't have to fish at all today, just opened the cooler and the fish jumped right in!

LOL - now that right there's funny, I don't care who you are! Guess I'm an amateur, but more importantly, as I've gotten older, I've turned into a wimp. Used to stand out on the ice all day when it was 15 degrees ice fishing, or trudging through snow drifts hunting bunnies, and enjoyed it. Used to work all afternoon out in the yard when it was 100+ and didn't really think about it. Now I don't even want to go out and get the mail when it's like this.

@Cathog - I actually tried that earlier today on the back patio - didn't work, but maybe I didn't give it enough time. Did a dumb thing yesterday - ran out to get the mail in my bare feet and ended up with blisters on the soles of my feet.

On channel 5 news, they're baking a pizza on the blacktop at TMS and baking cookies on the inside of a car.

Let's just hope that the temp will drop 20 degrees soon so we can cool off when it hits 90.
