I used to hate wearing a PFD. It was hot & uncomfortable. Since venturing out alone, I've been wearing it quite often & now it's pretty much automatic for me to wear my PFD. Still looking for a comfortable PFD & I know the inflatable kind is the way to go for comfort, but it's expensive.

When I lived at the coast the only times I wore my lifevest were when it was required by a tournament, inclement weather was approaching, or foggy conditions. Since I moved up here I'll wear my lifevest when I'm on a large lake and paddling across open water, bass boats make me uncomfortable.

I own an inflatable PFD, but only bring that with me if I know I'll be wearing it all day for tournaments and volunteering (RISE). My normal PFD is quality paddling vest too, but I do find it cumbersome to wear.

I get uncomfortable easy and annoyed easily buy restrictive clothing. My ideal world would be mesh style basketball shorts and a loose fitting t-shirt or no shirt at all. I just feel liek I cant move with lots of clothes on. Plus its hot!

I always wear mine.
