That is to cool! Thought I saw some Squaw Creek footage as well? The boat flip towards the end on the fish with dd 22 was crazy shard!

Great, now I have to spend another 100 bucks in gas to go back to Fork sooner than I though frown

Yep, I am definately a critic, not of the video, but the way the guide handles the fish!!!

Still flopping Bass all over your boat carpet, Any of you ever see a large Bass floating dead, thats one of the reasons why, since this guide is making a living off of the fish in Fork, one would think he would have more respect for them.

Delayed Mortality

Even the clearest and cleanest water is home
to bacteria and fungi that can cause primary or
secondary infections. Fish secrete a protective
slime or mucus from glands in their skin as an
effective barrier to disease. Disrupting or removing
the mucus when you handle a fish makes it
more susceptible to these ever-present pathogens.
Handling a fish with dry hands, abrasion from a
net, and letting a fish flop on a dry boat deck or in
a dry livewell will remove its protective mucus
coat.

Just curious and I'm NOT trying to stir the pot. I'm not a "tree huger" or anything like that. I've even got a 10 pound plus skin mount that was done two years ago.

My question is, what is the "proper way to handle a bass"? Abrasions from nets are bad. Lipping the fish could end up bad for the angler. I don't want a treble hook buried in my hand/fingers. Don't B.A.S.S. anglers swing fish in the boat and let them flop on the carpet? Aren't they suppose to be leaders in conservation of bass fishing? I'm sure five bass swimming around in a livewell during hot summer months isn't healthy either, even if you add "Please Release Me". Not every bass fisherman has state of the art livewells with built in cooling systems.

Can you point out the time in the video where the fish touched the carpet?
