EmptyNester,
Yes, you may leave the boat for most any reason except to push your boat to an otherwise inaccessable area of the lake, retrieve a fish or to fish from somewhere outside of your boat.

Be careful in extremely warm lake water. The risk of absorbing harmful bacteria goes up dramatically when swimming in really warm water.

Good luck in the tournament...

From what I understand the membership is good for the whole year. So if you got a membership for a spring division it is also good in the fall of that year. I called them today and that was one of my questions.

Just got back from Hubbard Creek. Great turnout and it took almost 30 lbs to win. Many sacks over 20 lbs. Big bass was over 9 lbs.

High winds and heavy rain around sunrise but it cleared off for a very pleasant day. Hubbard Creek needed the rain.

Sandy Creek Marina will be putting in a temporary ramp at their facility for the next tournament Sept 10 and for the BLT Championship Sept 25th. We will not be moving the weigh in location due to the low water conditions at the Hwy 180 public ramp. Anglers can launch at this temporary site or at the ramp at the dam. Sandy Creek Marina has boat stalls with a trench cut out from the main lake that will allow anglers to come by boat to these stalls. They can tie off to this floating facility and walk up to our weigh in location just up the hill.

Results from today will be posted soon.

IT was a Good Tourney. I dumped 2 good fish before 7 this morning trying to flip them in the boat while we had waves washing over the bow. What a way to start a season!! lol

9094,
The 2010 fall list should be posted on the website very soon. If you entered at least 4 of the 5 tournaments and or finished in the top 50% you have qualified for the two 2011 Region 2 Championship tournaments. One is on Belton and the other is on Hubbard Creek. The top 50% from these lakes will go on to the state Championship on Rayburn in November.

For now, until we post the list, click on archives on the BLT main menu and then click the 2010 fall schedule on the division you fished. Then click on ytd after 5 and you will be able to see the list of anglers who fished in this division. Add up the total number of anglers and we qualify the top 1/2 for the Championship.

Thanks,
BLT staff

Sorry for chiming into this thread late but Hey I travel a lot!!!

The turn out was really great for what looked like it was going to be a very nasty day on the lake. But it all moved out, got a bit breezy for a while, then settled down for a really good day to be on the lake.

Seeing all those sacks come in at 20+ lb's was really impressive. There is a lot of great fish in that lake.

Looking forward to more excitment Sept 10...!!!
