If you look on page 5 of your owners manual under transportaion it says to move the depth drive collar snug against the steering motor and tighten in high levels of shock or vibration. With the winds we usaully have my troller is stowed this way every time. Sweet, That's GOOD info!!! I really missed info that in my manual. I will definitely start doing that myself. Last thing I want to do is wrap an expensive tm around the bow of my boat!

The Terrova must tilt to deploy so what I did is use a velcro strap that attached to my bow decking. I rap the strap over the shaft of the tmotor when it is in the stowed position. This eliminates the possibility of deployment and didnt cost much money.

I've only used mine on the lake twice and the one thing I would recommend is to head into the wind when your searching for fish. Engaging spot lock with the wind at your back will allow the boat the turn with the bow facing the wind.. If you were over a brush pile you might move completely off it. If your facing the wind you stay right on top. I threw a marker right in front of the boat engaged spot lock and I eventually had to pull it out because it stayed so close I thought it would get caught on the trolling motor prop. Of course you can circle around and so forth and get creative but I found facing the wind works for me. Good luck!

I bought a new pontoon in January, had the dealer install a Terrova, IPilot, Wireless, it is an incredible help. It does everything it advertises, I agree spot lock is great. We may be listening to live music at the Harbor in Rockwall, fishing a windy point, or watching the grandkids swim, or even take a nap on the pontoon's couch, I never have to drop an anchor. I just engage the spot lock and it manages the problem of keeping us in one spot. Or program it to fun a set path along a bank or hover around a hump. No problems.

Hey Terry, dont let your neighbor see it, cuz he will drool all over it. LOL!

Have any of you guys had an issue where the Anchor feature shuts off on its own? The other day I had to reset it multiple times, the anchor was set then I noticed I would start to drift, looked at the remote and the "A" was gone, hit the button again and it engaged again. Any thoughts?

I got mine installed with minimal problems and have been to the lake with it twice so far. It works just as well as everyone says. I love it. I havent been able to use all the features yet, like pathing, but the spot lock is amazing.
I was really surprised at how well it does with even with a medium to high wind. Also, as someone previously stated, the battery consumption is very low.
I installed mine with the quick release mount and the toughest part was actually just figuring out the best spot to place it. It didnt seem like I had a perfect spot to put it where I could get the proper over-hang for when in use and also have it in a good position when stowed where it didnt take up space in the boat and where it didnt stick out the side of the boat too much. The spot I finally ended up chosing seems to be working out well so far, so I am pleased.
