I had the pleasure to fish with my buddy Chris Waters today. Man, it was hot out there but the heat didn't get to us as we were pulling in fish right after the next all day. We had non stop action catching over 125 fish. TONS of dinks but after it was said and done we wound up with 26 keepers including this nice fish Chris caught. Went right under 1.75 pounds...

26 keepers

We started on Timber then mostly fished brush 18 to 30 feet deep and the secret today? Minners........ugh, I hate those things unless we are catching fish... barf

Thanks again Chris for the invite and look forward to killing 'em again with you soon...

I had a blast fishing with you today Stucky. I will remember to bring more water and ice next time. My battery is drained and I'm going to sleep good tonight.

Nice job! I've never fished RR, but plan to soon. I've heard that there are marked BP's. Are they on the lake maps? If so, where would I find a RR map? Thanks.

AggieKenny,

There are maps available that show the COE brushpiles with GPS coordinates. I'm sure you can search on the internet and find one

They sell maps with corps brush piles marked at the Ray Roberts Marina. Got mine there for $8.95, published by AID Lake Maps.

Congrats guys. I got stuck at home but enjoyed the day resting and visiting with family in from out of town. Minners, they are a lot of trouble to me. I have bought them 2 times this year and they worked once but didn't yesterday. Good looking bunch of fish there! thumb thumb

Chuck,

Me and Lucy are planning a trip this fall with you. She had a blast with you a couple of years ago.

Thank you Chris and Jeff. I have the Navionics on my phone. There are several "Hazzard Pile" markers on RR, are those BP's? Sorry to hijack this post. I'm hoping I don't have to break down and buy a minner bucket. I can't get 'em to bite anything right now on the 'vine. I had to fish for cat's Friday night. Did alright, but ready for some more Crappie!
