Txsuperman, I hope I am not stepping over the line here, but I figured I would give some insight. Several months ago I had the power trim completely rebuilt by Two Guys. It took them six weeks to do it and I missed a championship tourney even though I was promised I would be on the water. Txsuperman bought the boat from me last month, the power trim went out. It is doing the exact same thing it did before. He called them and evidently they will not honor their warranty.

My lower unit went out down there. Took it to 2 Guys. They had it for over 2 days. Explained to them what happened to the lower unit. They called and said the powerhead blew. Nothing wrong with the lower unit. All they wanted to do was sell us a new motor they had in store. Still can`t figure out how they missed that 6 inch crack in the lower unit. Took it home and had a new lower unit installed. 2 years later it is still running strong. Not one problem with the powerhead.

Hop-it Jigs pretty much summed it up. They weren't willing to help at all.

Those type of warranties are usually non transferable. That is probably why they are not honoring it. A technicality yes, but most likely one that is mentioned in fine print. I don't know that this is just Dawson's shot in the dark here.

they've always done good work for me and have saved my weekend a couple of times by getting me back on the water quickly. +1 Bink and crew have always done right by me. I have taken my rig there for annual maintenance and waranty work for over 3 years and it was always delivered back on time with the work performed as agreed. Sorry you had problems and I am truely surprised.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

Come to find out the parts they installed were faulty and went out. Most places i called said the parts should have had a 1yr warranty. I tried again to get them to help me since it was their parts, but the guy was a jerk wouldn't help at all.

my dad was in auto repair for years.
faulty part? ok, we will replace them for free(if warranted). but the labor isnt.
thing is... people always wanted the cheapest parts with 5 star service.
doesnt work that way always
Set the hook..... It's free.

Did you or did you not know this was worked on before you bought the boat?

I knew that the work was done. He told me who did it. It's now being fixed at plano marine....now that's another story. My boat will NEVER go there again.

Im not saying you were rude, but you dont sound happy on here.. and less than polite people tend to get less than polite responses. If they have no binding obligation to help you and you walk in with some attitude, you probably aint gonna get far.

I lost my Swivel-ease lock-n-stow motor toter while at Amistad. Two-guys sold me one for less than I paid at Bass Pro for the original.
They were watching me put it on to make sure it was the right model and noticed two of my power trim-tilt bolts were loose. I was going to get a socket out and tighten them, but they did it as a courtesy before I could get to my tool box.
This was a couple years ago, not like your experience today.
Thank God for Texas and the USA!!! - Ray
