Advantages:
I love it. Its the perfect size for me. 2 people could fish out of it if they really wanted too but It is really best for 1 person. It fits it the back of the Truck perfect with the tail gate down. I just strap it in, put the battery and trolling motor in the back of the boat and the rest of the goodies in the tool box and I'm ready to go. I can fit a battery, trolling motor, fish finder, life vest, backpack, 3 rods, a short rubber trout dipnet, fish basket & 1 seat easily and still have room to move around. I have a homemade rod holder that I made out of PVC and some clamps also attached to the inside of the boat near the battery.

Disadvantages:
The down side is you can stand up but it is very shaky. you don't want to drink and be in this think I promise you, you will fall out. Another thing I don't like about it is the factory seats. They are just hard plastic and hurt your butt. I plan to upgrade to padded ones very soon. The seats just sit there in the racks. you can lift them up easily. If you lean too far over each side the seats will come up and you will fall out.

I really cant compare it to the 10ft version. I have not ever been in one.

I have the 8ft Raider with a couple of customizations. There is a never ending thread on customizing these boats on another forum. I use it all the time on our 6 acre private pond. I will have to disagree with you about the drinking part DJ. Ill be an 18 pack in and still stick'n em at 3am on the topwater. Just stay seated and you'll be alright.

Do we have a thread for this stuff?

I have a one and fish ponds and would like to talk with guys who do the same.

This thread will go to page 3 real quick on this bass fishing thread.

90% of the guys here own real boats and play on big ponds and could careless about this subject.

I currently own an 8ft pond prowler. I live in Irving, would love to join the group.

Good for creeks, tanks or small lakes. Not so good in the big wind we have had this year.

Hey Beer,

are you a rep for fish candy? I went to bass pro to pick-up the dog plastic and was told they don't carry it. Do i need to order direct or can I get them somewhere else?
