Rollover Pass is just east of Port Bolivar. Never fished there, but have driven past it several times.

The last time I went to Rollover(only time ever, I might add), the water was coming in QUICK. Any lures/baits thrown out towards the middle would get dragged towards the bay in a matter of seconds, AND collect a couple pounds of grass.
There were a couple of "regulars" there who did ok with flounder. They were using live bait of some sort fished on the bottom, with their clicks turned on. Maybe some spots along that pass are better than others.
Fast current, a crowd on the weekend, lots of grass that day, and not the best experience at one of the bait shops there (which shall remain nameless).. I ended up spending the rest of the day surf fishing near there.

What bait stand Sherwood? Last time I passed through there, I stopped for a while to check it out. There were lots of people fishing along the wall on both sides. From what I noticed, I think I could cast all the way across, and then some. I personally like to fish areas where limited space is not a factor. I like to have room, and not have to worry about someone crossing my line. I dont mind fishing in public places, just as long as I can have my space. I am heading down this weekend, but not sure where I will be fishing. I will post a report if I do any good.
