Just curious, but what is the point? Stand out aspect? Seems kinda bulky and a lot of exposed hardware for a "finesse" set up.

Cameron: We have several customers in SoCal that have conveyed the same issues, of course they're fishing some extremely clear high pressure water. This particular set up defeats the "stealth" aspect of a drop shot rig. Using this particular product....why use fluoro? If you're not fishing clear water the visibility issue isn't so great.
As a drop shot nut myself, I view this product as nothing more than an offering to take advantage of angler laziness. Getting the hook to stand out and hook point up as we know is no big deal. The photo of the bait has snag written all over it here in Texas where we have structure, snag it as pictured and you're going to lose the rig, $$$$$ and I know hundreds of DSers and not a one of them exposes the hook point.

Benefit to me is the swivel. Many of the nose hooked baits I use twist the line pretty rapidly on a spinning setup.

Im with cam on this. Just seems bulky and a means for lazyness. I can tie regular drop [censored] in about a minute so how much time do i really save
I can backlash toilet paper.

Just curious but how do you rig a dropshot without exposing the hook?

Just curious but how do you rig a dropshot without exposing the hook? Use a wide gap hook or like a 1/0 straight shank hook and rig it "texas" style like you would normally. Still tied the same way.
