A friend of mine had his stolen in San Antonio out of his driveway while he slept. Very similar to yours. It probably went to our friends south of the border. Hopefully they will find yours.

I had a friend get his stolen in san antonio last summer. They found it about 2 weeks later on the border. It had the backseat completly ripped out in order to hold more people going across the border. The police department that found it told him that they like the 3/4 to one ton trucks because they suspension is stiffer and therefore hold more people. They ended up totaling the truck out for all the damage it had on the outside from going back and forth across.

Yeah, we had our Escalade stolen out of our driveway in December of last year. The Police will not try and locate this vehicle, so you might as well give up on that. They will enter the vin in a database and that will be the end of it from their point of view.
I have a 2004 F250, worry about it getting stolen every night. In 2008 while at Academy in Plano, someone punched the lock on my drivers side. Something must have scared them off as nothing was stolen and the truck was still there. Pisses me off to the day because I saw this man and girl walking thru the lot and while it bothered me I did not sit and wait to see what they were doing. Thieves are worthless human beings that deserve a horrible death, simple as that.

...Thieves are worthless human beings that deserve a horrible death, simple as that. +1 on the worthless human beings, but a bit harsh on the horrible death... cutting off both arms & legs and blinding them with a hot poker should be enough to stop them from stealing any more!

the weird thing is I think your truck requires a chip in your key fob to start so they may had used a tow truck to steal it

That exact same thing happened to me back in August. They found my truck, which was lifted like yours, in an apartment complex off of Josey and Web Chappel. It was completely stripped. A lot of times the thieves are after your rims and airbags.

Mine was jacked out of my driveway this past November. Police told me when they were looking for it that thieves sometimes take them to a parking lot like at a motel and let it sit a couple days to just see if the thing is low jacked or someone is hot on their trail...
On a side note I got word from the Fire Department in Town that the 19-20 year old that stole mine put a bullet in his head about 2 months ago. Sad but true. He had way more to worry about than a theft of a motor vehicle. Hope you get lucky like I did and get it back. My truck was used in a Major Crime Spree in my neck of the woods. Pretty bad deal Tom, we'll keep our eyes open. A truck like that is usually bought and paid for and insurance can be a beat down. I doubt its in Mexico, there is more chop shops in Big D than anywhere.

Sorry to hear that. That truck is really nice. I'd die if mine got stolen. When you get it back or when you get your new one, you need to get these items. http://www.jimmijammer.com/Product,%20JJ.htm http://www.ravelco.com/

Terrible! Had a car stolen a couple years ago, what a pain in the butt. An old friend once caught someone stealing his car stereo. He knocked the guy silly, pulled his pocket knife out, and cut a finger off the thief. Not saying it was the right thing to do, but sure is a great story!

Thats Sucks! I have a '05 350 and i worry about it getting stolen all the time. My Mom had her '06 350 stolen last year, they found it a month later, with the running boards, mirrors and the dash gone.
Question for you Ford guys, do ya'll lock your trucks with the key pad on the door, it is my understanding that you cant even unlock the truck with the key without the alarm going off, i have tried this with my truck, and the alram does go off. Something to think about.

Here's another thing for everyone with a F250 to check. The horn can be disconnected outside the truck. Under the pass wheelwell they can pull the plug and your alarm if connected to your horn won't go off.
If you find your horn isn't working, check that because someone is trying to steal it later. Mine was disconnected 2 months ago, reconnected it but I guarantee they did that again as my alarm is sensitive.
