I was waiting to see how many "gun" responses I got! haha. Marble, maybe I could pass that off as a duck hunting rig.
SFA, I've got lots of confidence after that beating I put on you last weekend!!
Thanks for the info. gentlemen.

Went two weeks ago and wore the bass out on a gold rattle trap. Fishing in shallow water(5-10 ft)in morn and eve. and then going to deeper water (10-20 ft) in mid day. will be posting pics soon.

Getcha some 1-1.5 tungsten weights with your favorite beaver style bait and go punch some of that deep grass!

Stay on the US side. May what to check the security posting on the US Department of Interiors website. Personally, no fishing is good enough to risk getting shot at or my boat stolen.

Char/white chatter bait with a Zoom split tail shallow over grass. Watermelon Candy soft plastics. Down there 2 weekends ago and caught fish 2-8 lbs.

I fish the Mexico side more than I fish the Texas side and I spend a lot of time on the water. I have never had any problems on the Mexico side. With that being said......Frogs over the pond weed has been good, after the sun comes up I have been throwing the Black Dog Lunker Punker over the hydrilla in 10-15 feet and going back over the same areas with jigs and 10 inch motor oil red worms. Ledges in 20 to 30 feet, dropping off into 45-60 feet with a dropshot and a jig!!!

Nothing has happened at lake amistad. Its probably more safe to fish right now then grapevine after that fight and any lake in central tx and others that are full of waterskiers and wakeboarders right now.

I use the same stuff at Amistad as I do at Choke. The water at Amistad is exceptionally clear so be wary of that. Ive seen everybody UPSIZE but I havent and still do okay! You NEED TO HYDRATE!!!
