MAN some 1 stole my boat Sunday.....Took the trash out and looked over to see if my boat was there and someone stole it....damn thieves......If anyone sees a aluminum v-bottom boat...the registration is out in 2013 and the boat numbers are 1351... its has red and blue strip on the side and it says ALUMACRAFT...the trailer has rollers instead of wood...so if anyone sees its PLEASE let me know...... If it gets any worse, we will someday read headline of boatjacking ! My neighbor that I grew up next to had this happen! He was fishing Cooper and three dudes pull up, point a pistol at him and told him to get in the lake. Not wanting to get shot (and having already made a mental note of their TX #) he took off swimming. He kept his phone and wallet in one of those small water tight boxes in a Fanny Pack (he's not much on fashion) He got to the shore and called 911. Sheriff caught them leaving the State Park because he could tell the boat did not fit the trailer they loaded it on.

A few years back at Lake of the Pines the thieves would hide and wait at the boat ramp while fisherman launched. After they were out of site they would hook up the trailer from the guys truck and go back and hide and wait. When the fishermen would come in and find there trailer gone, they leave there boat at the ramp to go get another trailer or call for help, and while they were gone the theives would back the trailer in and then steal the boat. Don't know if they ever caught them or not, but always carry your cell phone so you don't have to leave your boat un-attended.
