Some Xmas trees sunk right next to a shallow 3 ft flat with vegetation. Most of the white dots are fish. All crappie. Mostly were females staging to spawn. Some males are on the flat on the left of the screen in the weeds on beds.

In this picture, there is a big mound of sand that has been deposited during flooding. It's all sand here. No mud. At the top of the mound you can almost make out little discs the crappie made, with white dots being the crappie. This is a bend in a creek that I always talk about.

In this picture, I'm still in a creek. All the creek pictures are from this last winter. This picture, I'm at another bend in the creek and it was loaded with crappie with some 1 ft off the bottom. You can see the radar shadow below some of them hanging just off the bottom.

Crappy pic but there is a school of crappie just to the left of the metal structure. If you were fishing directly over it, no fish would be boated. They were holding on a small rock.

In this shot above, I was scanning a dock 120 ft to the right of the boat. Under the dock to the right of the target sign, there are a few hybrids and a bunch of sandies holding under it and in the shade the dock was providing. That's why they are on the south side of the dock. Shade. At the bottom, are more crappie beds with crappie all in the disks.

In this last pic, I am over a submerged tire reef on Lavon. Some days it produces crappie, but best in pre spawn. This day all the white dashes were schooling sandies.

Best to open with monitor or iPad. Details are to small for small cell phones.

I too have the 898 but my images don't look like that.

What are your chart speed settings as well as contrats etc?

Tom

Chart speed is at defalt.
Enhanced is set at 10 - 10 High, so I can see the popcorn stuff on the screen an make the fish pop out more.. The popcorn, small white dots are fish. If you see popcorn all over structure, it should be crappie. Sometimes it's sandies and hybrids, but if you are were the crappie should be at and you see that, drop down on them and start rippin lips., I keep forgetting to turn my sharp up two notches, but the pics will look better once I turn that up. Everything else is default, or factory settings. To windy to get good pics today.

Just a recomendation, but try lowering your speed to 3 fromt he default 5 (due to your boat speed being under 3 mph) on the bird and you will get better detail of the structure and fish It worked for me anyway.

Carey,

You are like a magician! I saw you at the ramp this morning and then poof...you were gone! It let me know I was hitting all the wrong places.

Caught a few this morning on the east side of the lake, but ended up doing more looking than fishing! Damn SI unit. I can't keep my eyes off it long enough to dunk a jig. My son was not as taken by all that looking as I was!

How did your clients fare today?

Tom
