I've seen guys get into major trouble for having a shell in their jeep. this happened after the Federalies pulled a group of us over one night returning from Puerto Penasco. Not fun at all.
Noticed a article on the front of the BASS magazine about the problems but haven't read it yet.

Just seems like the smart thing to carry with you from hearing what all goes on down yonder.

Is there any law prohibiting a shotgun in a boat? It's a lot easier to aim!!!

Remember when you cross the main lake channel you are not longer covered by American law. Chances are yo won't be caught but why risk it
People have way over blown a couple of incidences over the last few years More trouble goes on any year at Ray Hubbard than goes on at falcon

I have been inspected by both the Texas Game and Fish and the US Coast Guard on Falcon. The Coast Guard took our weapons on to their boat and checked us for proper documents(AL Drivers License and gun permit by reciprocal agreement) They ran the serial and license numbers and returned the guns to us. One of the guys even said if he had been fishing there he would be carrying a gun also, So no problem on the American side

I have never been on the lake and your post brings up another question. Can you fish and travel this lake with the intent of staying on the TX side? Or would it be a constant issue with wind, idling from place to place with big motor because of stumps, rocks, etc.

One of the guys I work with is a Trooper on the dive team. I told him I wanted to go to Lake Falcon so bad to go fish. He looked at me crazy and told me several of the latest incidents when he was in that area working. I think I'll be waiting for awhile to go there lol
In God we trust, All others I run through TCIC/NCIC

Why do you say that? Why does someone have to be considered a "Rambo wannabe" because they have a concealed handgun license. I have a CHL and carry virtually everywhere. There is no shame in carrying a firearm for self-defense. "Why?"....you might ask. Because I do not want to rely on law enforcement to protect me. I would rather protect myself. In our CHL class, they had a little saying that stuck with me..... "When SECONDS count, the police are only MINUTES away"

Well i guess there isn't a reason to answer your question since you already and did it for me...... I am talking about on the Mexico side of the lake. I hear that CHL really impresses the Mexican Army. I have no problem with trained and capable people carrying.

I would think the bad guys at Falcon would have semi-automatic weapons and other high powered goodies.

It seems Fish Killer is the only "internet rambo" on this thread. Fish Killer, how many times have you ever fished Falcon?
