learning humility can only make you better and motivated for the next season. Let's see how he handles it. I like skeet and also like the rod line he endorsed, i have a couple. Having said that KVD is the man! Keep chasin' it Alton.

Maybe I'm wrong since I didn't go read all the BASS rules but I'd be surprised if there's a rule that says if you find a 6th fish in your livewell after weighing in and your fish released you lose all your weight for that day. Doesn't seem to fit the spirit of the rule about keeping a 6th fish before weigh in since there you only lose a part of the weight - something like your biggest fish or something like that. Seems maybe they could have reduced his weight by 1/5th or 2/5ths or weighed the extra fish and reduced it by that. Just doesn't seem consistent with the other rules about a 6th fish to lose all the weight.

Truer...and truer, Fouz.... gumshoe ..really no logical reason why he didn't win last year.....except that BASS loves them some KVD

Something I don't understand. How was he robbed of AOY and what has BASS loving KVD got to do with Skeet no winning AOY.

Wasn't the format for AOY known to everyone before the start of the last two seasons? Was there any rule that was implemented that favored one fisherman over another. Admittedly I may not know all the rules associated with AOY but I thought they were the same for everyone.

Im certainly new to all this and the one thing I can say after reading the various sites news and postings last couple motnhs ..is BASS fishing is sure a got a hell of lot of politics in it!

Guess with the sponsorships and monies at stake....

Anyways what Mr. Reece did was again our human nature especially with that kind of pressure. this wasnt a good ole boys annual lake tourney but something he knew would certainly cost him for being honest and therin is where I/we can say he must be a cut above the average.

If he had caught it before he weighed, they would've handled it differently. Since his fish had already been weighed though, they couldn't. The fish were gone.

just out of curiousity how many of us has missed a extra fish in the livewell when we weighed in? I don't think he was in that much of a hurry.

I watched the video of him getting his fish out of the livewell that day and the whole time the camera is on him trying to ask him questions and he just reaches in and grabs the floats on his cull rings and doesn't look around after he grabs the fifth out. I can see how it happened after seeing the video.

We did it in a JCO event Feb before last at Fork. Passed the poly and was about to get the first place check. Had six in our well and was culling at the weigh in dock. Actually had 9 in the well early that morning. The bite was HOT and I told Dustin to keep throwing them in the well. I would cull through em when it slowed down...

I didn't read Rule #17 that says "No team shall have more than FIVE fish in the livewell at any time"

Doh!

I had to make my partner stop fishing until I could cull in a tournament earlier this year. We were on a school of good fish. We had three in the livewell. I caught one and he hung one at the same time...so we had a double.

But actually it turned out to be a triple since he actually had two keepers on, one on the front hook and one on the back. Suddenly we had three in the box, one in my hand, and two in the net.

It sucked because the fish were on top and chasing shad, but I knew if he threw out again we were going to have seven fish on board within seconds. I told him to wait until I weighed the three fish and culled our smallest.

And...by the time we finished that the fish had gone down and we didn't catch another one for close to an hour.

This is how skeet was robbed the last 2 yeas....
- He had the best season in the history of the sport they started this post-season [censored] and made it a level playing field for 12 guys
Skeet 2100 point at end of season. (estimated)
12th place guy 1500 points at end of season. (estimated)
The max point you can get for winning a tourny out of 100 guys is like 300. So his regular season numbers were off the charts. For the play off's they took the last number off so it looked like this.
Skeet 210
12th place 150
- Postseason consisted of 2 tournament giving the winner 50 points.
- Everyone that watches the elites, knows that skeet should have won both years. Yes he knew of the gay format before the season started, but if you follow the sport you would have seen that the post season was a joke. Which is the reason they changed it. Before people get it on cutting guys like skeet down do your research. This country would be allot better off if everyone did there research.

Cheer up fishin247....go back to my comment about the Patriots undefeated REGULAR SEASON....should they be superbowl champs instead of the Giants because of thier REGULAR SEASON performance or did they have to work hard in the REGULAR SEASON to make it to the POST SEASON like every other team.....so Skeet should get to fish in the ALL STAR weekend after his terrible REGULAR SEASON ( for his standards) this year because people feel bad for him and hes a nice guy? Cheer up........

P.S. KVD

A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work.

Why not vote him in? He's had a bad year but has a pretty good history of contending, shown himself to be a guy with integrity and honor, hasn't made excuses about his poor finish(s) and seems to be a nice guy who loves what he does.

I wonder........ Is he sitting around thinking..."who wouldn't turn themselves in?".
Not to put down what he did, but it is a shame that we make a big deal about the guy who did it RIGHT..
