We don't either. Just don't understand how people can get worked up because a snake died.

Snakes aren't as nice as some of you think.... They bite and will eat your kids up like candy. Yea some aren't positions but they sure have teethe. Look at this guy, a snake lover that got jacked by one. I'm sure he change his mind after this incident.

People who actually enjoy nature and don't wet their pants every time they see a big, bad snake are PETA members? I'd say some of you need to turn in your man cards. My daughter's less afraid of snakes than you are, and she's 10.

Everytime you heartless monsters wash your arse or brush your teeth you are killing millions of adorable little bacteria who only wanted the chance to live their lives. How do you people live with yourselves killing harmless creatures like that. You all make me sick.

It seems people are just like monkeys. They seem to have inherited an atavistic fear of serpents. From deep down in the gut without any thought, there seems to be a reflex that causes them to strike out and try to kill the animal. If you put them on the spot by asking why, they come up with all sorts of excuses. True, you don't want little kids bitten, even by a harmless grass snake, but it is usually the kid's fault for sticking his hand in the hole to get his ball back. Children never watch where they are going. How many times have you been in the department store and some child runs right into you. Now, that incident with the water hose is funny, come to think of it I never did see any with stripes.

I'm not scared of snakes. I kill them for sport. Watching a snake blown completely out of the water with a .223 is fun stuff. I also kill skunks and other vermin that I don't want around my home... I also set traps for mice. I know - I'm a murderous and heartless soul. still makes me laugh.

p.s. I don't kill bull snakes or indigos because they like a dead rattlesnake more than I do. We're team mates.

Falling (specific to the age when you develop depth perception), sudden motion and loud sounds. That is it. All other fears are learned.
