cant believe no one has said fork. I catch bigger and more there. but since you live in tyler, lake tyler can be good they have been schooling lately.

Are you still catching on Montecello with the high water temps ? I have been out there this time of year and flat slayed em. Cold water side in deep water. The only thing is that the hot water makes the air temp almost unbearable as if it wasn't already.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Athens is a great choice. If you want to catch numbers there are another couple small lakes within an hour like Purtis Creek and Mill Creek. I've seen schooling bass on all 3 of these lakes this time of year.
