If you kill it you should at least have the decency to eat it.

What I don't get is when someone kills a coon, possum, armadillo, skunk etc, you don't get all this uproar about, why did you kill it? Only snakes. What's so all fired special about snakes. Is one life more sacred than another? Why snakes?

I did a quick search and didn't find any. I did find two posts about saving raccoons in the past week.

50% of raccoons also carry parasitic nematodes which kills 4-5 children in the U.S. each year. Those who survive suffer brain damage. I have raccoons in my neighborhood and they occasionally come to my porch during the week. I power wash every weekend to prevent my daughter from becoming a host for the parasite.

You are correct, there are not many posts on the fishing forum about killing varmints. However, I frequent several sites that primarily are hunting sites and you get the same phenomenon there. Snake threads go off the charts. I am just asking, what is is all fired holy about snakes? I don't kill them but I could care less if you did. What's the big deal about snakes?

Snakes kill mostly young children and older folks. You might want to rethink that silly comment

I've killed rattlesnakes that threatened me or family members before, but I also grilled them and tanned the skins when I killed them. Snakes are good for the ecosystem, I'm not opposed to killing them, I think of it as to each his own.
