They stock it with channel cats in the warmer months and trout in winter(get a card to fish for trout from city).
It also has crappie(mostly small) and bass as well.
IMO its a good place for kids to fish.Been taking my kids up there for 7/8 yrs now and we always catch something. You might be surprised how healthy that pond is.

Yea but the people there are very rude , no fishing manners at all they bring 5-6 rods to a person and will crowd you in especially if you find a spot out of the sun . I got there early one sunday had a guy block me off by putting 3 rods to the right of me so I moved over, next thing I know this lady put 4 more rods to the other side of me I finally went home .. You'll see them taking catfish about 8 inches and one guys acted insulted when I didn't give him a really nice bass I caught and told him I was releasing .. Really the people that fish there are very trailer. I would love to see them do a sweep for fishing licenses .

I usually catch using the Zoom Baby Brush Hog in Watermelon/Red by the second little pier on the left side under the tree there must be a spot of grass or some kind of weed ( I have pulled up bits ) that the bass like to hide out in .. had my nephew with me one day and he was bored was just swishing his lure thru the water and a bass hit it .. not sure the actual size but when it jumped it snapped his 10 lb line .. I have caught a couple of good 5 lbs there .or maybe the same one twice lol ..

Make sure you get there early .. like I said especially if you want to park under a tree .. cast to the side by the pier while you can .. cause someone will for sure park their behind next to you and ruin your casting before long ..

Have seen a few of these people and they usually will leave you be if you got kids. If not then i just give my kids a little encouragement to look at there gear or start asking questions.

If you think thats funny, my 10 yr old asked a guy if he knew how to cast? the guy said yes. my boy replied "then fish on the other side of us you so dont have to keep casting over us" then the boy looked at him and told him,"You cast like my little sister, you need to move."
I had trouble correcting him for disrepecting an adult cause i was triing not to laugh at the look on the guy's face. The guy had it coming but i didn't expect my boy to give it to him. That fella not only moved but got his gear and left.
