Why not actually put it more in the center of Texas? PK or Ivie. Texoma would be ok.

Not that it matters, but I won't go to the lakes that are listed. Texas is a big state, but it seems that the area between Dallas and Louisiana gets all the "state-wide" events.

Rockie,
Just out of curiosity, why are you not adding these suggested lakes to your poll? You want feedback, so let us give it you. If a lake has been mentioned in this thread, add it and let us vote on it.

I'm not complaining, it just seems like you have your mind set on what is already listed. Give us more options and lets see what comes out on top.

I see you're in Rockwall and all of these lakes with exception to LOP, are relatively close to you. I know that would make it easier on you to coordinate, but it doesn't necessarily make it a fun tourney. All the lakes in your poll get absolutely hammered on the weekends by tournament trails. I would hate to add another 100 boats to an already congested lake

Thank you for your efforts.

We fished last years event on Sandlin and despite a couple of things it for the most part was very well run. Actually it was my first major tourney to fish. I think the lake choice should be up in East Tx to give those in OK, AR, and LA a chance to come to improve the draw or participation.

I'm really not big on Ray Hubbard, Tewok, or Fork (slot) for that matter. To help those down south maybe Palestine or CC should be added as choices. My two pennies.

Guys, I have actually thought real hard about Possum Kingdom. That use to be a great fishery and was on most tournament schedules. Then in early 2001 ish the Golden Algae hit. Killed alot of fish. It really hurt the local economy there because the trails stopped going there. Then to have the awfull fires there this year that destroyed alot of homes, businesses etc...

The lake has come back and actually is a great fishery again. A tournament like this could be a nice boost to the local econmy plus we could raise some funds for the community...

However, I am just trying to plan a event that everyone will have a great time! So, I am really wanting to grow this event where this year we can have 100 boats!

I can add a few more lakes in the selection. We just need to make sure we have a lake choosen that can accomadate our needs as far as facilities, rooms etc...

Keep the thread going and lets see if we can make it a great event.

I like the idea for Texoma, you many even pick few more boats from OK and Ark. Since the BassCat Owner Tournament was cancelled this year.

Been a lot of side line votes for Texoma, but its still not on the list. Would be a great place to have this deal though as it would attract boats from all over and the lake is big enough to make it fun.

The only problem with Texoma is that it can get really nasty in unfavorible conditions....

I will be happy to put some more lakes on the list. Can someone show me how to edit the survey?

Like Tawakoni cant?

Texoma has more fishable waters out of the wind/weather than just about anywhere, great place to show off the cats. I am not a huge fan of the lake either but it just makes sense.

If you go with Texoma your guys from the South and far East Texas will not show to far a drive. I know you can't please all but this is a TX Bass Cat not other States. If they want to drive let them there are a ton of Bass Cats South trust me we see them everywhere just my 2 cents.

Grant,
I would go to Falcon or Amistad for it,How come the South TX boys wouldnt do the same? Not a heck of a lot of difference between Fork & Texoma depending on where your coming from.

I have no problem with Falcon or Amistad or Texoma but alot of South guys will not drive to Texoma go South and they will better fishing... You have to spread it around can't stay North every year well I guess you could but if you spread it you will get the support from other parts of the State. I think it should be North one year South,West,East so not just North b/c the guy running it lives closer to those lakes if that's the case call it North Texas Bass Cat Tourney and be done with it. If the dates are good I will be there no matter the lake he just wanted feedback so I put my 2 cents in good luck picking the lake.
