BassPuma I can't agree more, if someone pays money to go out on a a lake and catch fish, who cares what is used as long as it is legal. Some guides charge 450 dollars to fish the front of the boat and promote products they endorse.

Sometimes there is nothing better than "Drownin' your Worm". I could careless how it gets in the boat. As long as the fish is handled with care and respect. Other than that it's really no big deal, and if it's the way Bass Puma states it is, then he has every right to go do what he do, and should be thanked for being able to handle all this with some class.

Truth is and I think the sad part, is who knows, I'm not at Fork everyday, I take third party information for what it is. Usually exaggerated and not as accurate as it was 10 minutes prior. So here's the deal, no matter what... the man has a Scarlett Letter painted on his chest. I don't have a dog in the hunt and don't know anyone that has posted on this topic, nor do I know what's up. I would love to take my kid to go throw down on some Fork Toads on anything.

I have nothing against you or anyone else catching them on live bait. Heck I maybe doing it next week. I like for people to have a good time everytime they come to Lake Fork if they hire you or me live bait or artifical. If you are catching them on bream great no big deal but tell it like it is. If I catch them next week on bream or shad or what ever I will mention it. I know catching fish on live bait is like kissing your sister and you do not want to tell anyone, but someone always finds out ! Do not take this any different than it is. I know you work hard for the customers just like we all do and I would use you again on my group trips but you cannot use live bait. Hahaha.

I haven't fished on Fork since about 2000 but up until that point I was fishing it pretty regular. I used to fish up in Little Caney quiet a bit and I always seem to see live bait fishermen around that area. They would usually fish the same areas I like to fish, and it seemed like about half of what they were catching was "Big" blue cat. I finesse fish most of the time and I seemed to be catching more fish than they were on the live bait most of the time.

Very well said Marc....and that is all anybody is trying to say here. Tell it like it is...you will at the very least get respect for being honest.

Marc tells it like it is...I don't have a sister, but I did kiss my buddies sister once, does that count?

I have a lot of big fish and trust me they all didn't come from that. I have a lot of guides that have used me and know I can catch em. They are hooked on fishing now just like the rest of you . It means more to me when I see this then you know. The one guy that put some stuff on a post was not told to do that by me. If I do this I don't use a circle hook and do not hook the fish deep 99% of time. The fish are returned fine to the water. Also when I write my fishing reports I write what wer'e normally doing.I try to help peaple catch a few more fish.Thanks. Otherwise I wouldn't know what the fish were doing. I work very hard for peaple out there. Thanks
You should have said this 2 weeks ago. Your followers turned this into a bashing speaking on your behalf and with all of the name calling. It didn't help that you threw a certain guide's name out there to vouch for you when we all know it was a blatant lie and that guide confirmed it. Go back and read the comments and understand that all anybody is saying is to call it like it is. Good Luck!

Yes. Sir. Eddie, I think this was a case of the cover up is worse than the crime. I've seen the pics, I may be doing it soon. Just be honest. I'd love to see someone post a report like this." Man the fishing is tough right now due to the heat. We've been catching a few fish in the morning while its cool and then it gets tough. If we are not getting enough bites in the morning we are trying some deep holes with live bait and catching some pigs." Probably never happen but would be cool.

I know 3 or 4 of the SALs from Ivie were caught on live baits. . .and this was always understood. . .I just cant understand the big issue. Every summer I fish with small perch and minnows for bass when theyre deep and slow. . .and I dont guthook any more live bait fish than I do lure fish.

I can't help but to think some of this comes from jealousy. I've personally seen people get all kinds of p!ssed when they told me they had got skunked and asked how I was catching all those fish out in the middle of the lake, tell them minnows and they instantly are mad. Makes me laugh.

Is it "less sporting" to use live bait. . .maybe. Is it any less fun to catch a fish on a minnow than a powerworm. . .hell no.

I'll be the first to step and say when my wife and mom want to go out in the summer and lay out on the boat, I'll take some bream for them to soak. Both of them have caught double digits doing this so why wouldn't they want too fish like this. Most people that fish are not like all these pro bass die hard soft plastic fisherman on here.

Now if someone lied... that's different, but dang I'm sick of hearing about live bait. Sounds like some of the guys on this forum should use live bait because after every weekend I hear... got skucked, don't understand why I couldn't catch em, what am I doing wrong.........
