If you limited KVD or any top fisherman to 100 casts or flips, or pitches.....basically they can wet the lure 100 times.

Their choice of when and where to use the attempts during a regular tourney day.

KVD might catch 5, he might catch 0. He's the Antoine Walker of fishing, but in a good way. He's a volume caster. Where as a worm dragger like Nixon may make 500-700 casts a day, KVD might make 1100-1300. To put it one way, KVD in his element makes 100 casts in about 30 minutes +/-. If you're on a good school of fish, you can have a limit in 5 casts, but on a bad day 100 casts can all haul water.
Now, you give a worm guy like Tommy Biffle or Larry Nixon those 100 casts, it may take them a few hours because they're making 8-10 presentations to a piece of cover, then moving along to the next piece and not wasting a lot of time and energy fishing dead water in between. On a good day, he could have five in five casts much like KVD who's chasing schools of fish, but even on a bad day it's rare that he doesn't catch at least a few fish. It's a game of odds that in this case favors the worm dragger in your scenario.

He'd make them casts in bout a hour then we would have to listen to his Yankee excuses for another 15 minutes

all excellent points, but it is simple, KVD would catch a quick limit, cull 8 times, and weigh in 15.75 if he was limited to 100 casts...just sayin'..
