Its not just bass fishermen. I have had all types move in on me. I usually don't mind if they move in after a friendly conversation. Heck I watch what they do and may learn something. Having said that, I live on a small lake and have a nice dock. If I am out there I expect someone to ask me before they plop a bait right down in front of me. If not, I immediately pick up a brick (I have a bunch sitting on my dock at all times) and hurl it right at their bait. One brick and they get the idea. I also carry a few in the boat when I'm out. You will notice, I am not about to throw a brick at somebody, but when its hurled at where their bait just hit the water the message is sent sure enough. One last note, I have only done this on the water twice and three times from my dock so this really isn't that big of a problem as I see it. here is an idea if you don't want people fiishing your dock, build it in your yard! lol you carry bricks to throw , others carry guns to shoot, be careful some people don't care .. be safe ole might brick chunker and stay thirsty my friend!

Those darn bass fisherman with their fancy wrapped boats... they are the devil I tell ya! Not all of us are inconsiderate a-holes, just like with anything in this world there is a certain percentage of a-holes. For every 3 or 4 courteous bass fisherman you have one A-hole. We've all encountered said a-hole at one time or another... non sense in letting someone elses horrible attitude or miserable life affect you. For the record I have more issues with pleasure boaters and jet skis messing up fishing areas than I do other fisherman. That's spot on. I have had very few bad encounters with Bass Fishermen. Most of them have been very polite and courteous. There's always 1 idiot in the group that makes the whole group look bad, though.

Do what my buddy did as a bank fisher jump on the boat tussle with him, grab the keys bust off the key float and chunk'em like a rock.
Joe pool 13 incher The way to communicate with the fish is to drop them a line. To argue on a fishing boat is to have de bait.

I have visited many countries, especially the crowded ones like Mexico, China, India and I just want to say that when you're in a city of 8 million people, personal space does not exist. Buses, subways, streets, shops, etc are all filled shoulder to shoulder with people. The concept of "personal space" is very foreign to them. They HAVE to jostle and push and crowd out, jump queues; it's every man for himself, really. So.... with this knowledge, have some understanding when you see "immigrants/foreigners" crowding you out or not respecting your "personal space". Educate them, let them know in America we do things differently. Some don't know any better. I am not excusing their behavior, just letting you know what makes them tick. Teach them to be courteous. Also, realize that in those countries fishing is not a sport or a hobby or for leisure, but a means to put food on the table, for survival and income. They have that ingrained in them so it's hard. Never hurts to be nice and courteous to your fellow man. It goes a long way. Thanks for reading and understanding. Good day.

I have to say that rude fisherman come in all shapes, forms, and fashions, but are not just limited to bass. However, some of the most rude have been bas fisherman. I have a 17' Xpress with a 90. I was cut off 3 times this year in Febraury on Bob Sandlin in during the Bud Light Tournament. I was fishing a Club tournament and I guess because I didn't have a $50k rig, I must not have been fishing a tournament I should let them have the spot. One my 1st spot there was already a boat on the creek channel that I wanted to be on, so I pulled up short about 75 yds and started on a point to let the other boat have the space. Another boat flew in and shut down right beside me, waking me out pretty bad. Then idled right in front of me about 30 yds and stopped and started fishing. I finished the point, cranked up and idled to the very back of the pocket. When I got back to within 50 yd of the 1st boat, I set my ro down and kicked the TM on high and swung wide to go back around them. The guys in the 1st boat looked my way and said, "that guy cut you off didn't he." I said yeah pretty well cut us both off. I told him that I guess since I didn't look important he could just fish where he wanted. The guy asked me if I had prefished that spot. I said yes. He said come on over and fish then. I thanked him but decided to just move on. It happened more throughout the day, but that one really pissed my off.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!
