I will take some pics today. The two transducers is because there is one stock and one the previous owner added. At first i didnt realize one was the stock unit and kept including it in my write ups. I thought the front unit used a transducer on the transom not realizing it uses this one on the TM.

IN the end there is 1 after market transducer added and 1 pair of cables (power/unit)

The Hook4 unit shown above has been in my basement for years and for the life of me can't figure out why it came with such thin power wires. Any idea the best way to hook it to the battery? Bad enough the plug has to be jammed in tight to turn on and even then turns off ever so often with the least motion. I decided to make it portable for my smaller boats. Works good - when it works.

Good thing tech support at Lowrance emailed a user manual or I would have been sh** out of luck.

Installing AT-2.
I see two options for “enable” (yellow) wire on the AT-2 power cable.:
1. Use a separate switch to enable the unit after the host Live unit has been turned on. Switch ties the yellow wire to 12v)
2. Connect the yellow wire from the AT-2 to the yellow wire coming from the Light be unit so that the AT is “enabled” when the Live unit powers up.

Which one is better? Reasons?

Separate switch allows you to turn off the AT module. If you’re going to use it 100% of the time, use the yellow wake up wire. If you’re only going to use it part of the time, use a switch.

Put a simple toggle-switch at the bow panel on the yellow wire between the unit and AT2

Is it a nmea connection or a transducer cable? If it’s a transducer cable, you might need a 7-9 adapter. Post a picture of it.

I have a carbon 12 on the console , I temporarily replaced my carbon 9 on the bow with a HDS gen 3,12 inch,
I deleted all waypoints on the gen 3 before hooking it up, I expected it to load all the way points
from the carbon unit on the bow. It did not. I found on settings where to allow for waypoints to be sent and
received , I set both units to enable, but still no joy.
suggestions ?

You need an Ethernet cable for them to transfer that way. If you don’t have an E-net cable, you can save them to a micro SD card and import them into the other graph.

If you just have a nmea 2000 cable, they will add wypts BUT ONLY when both graphs are turned on. They will not auto sync with nmea. The Ethernet cable is the superior data sharing option.

If they aren’t automatically sharing wypts, then you have either a bad port or enet cable. Theres no magical settings to turn on, they just share if everything is working properly.

The 12’s have 2 enet ports, try the other ports.
