I find it odd that no one wants to go big bass fishing. I just got my new Bass Buster yesterday and am going to get it legal next week and then the hunt begins.

I have had a few guys pm stuff they think will help me catch the big fish. I am going to try what I think will work. I am not limited to what I have posted above in this thread.

just to throw this out for a suggestion
are these private ponds that you have permission to fish ?
If so have you ask the owner about bringing someone
If it is private ,have you made it clear with the owner and anyone that you take to them only have permission to be there with you and no one else
If the owner gives the other guy permission to come without you
have you made it clear that you will not be responsible for him if he is irresponsible or shows up with a bunch
Most of the thing sthat have stopped owners from allowing access to their land and water si because they let one person in and then that person takes someone then that person takes someone and so forthand so on till he is overrun
So cover your basses before taking anyone

I am moving in less than a couple of months, but I would have loved to try and go for a big one.

I should have my boat legal by the end of the week.

You tell me when you can go, since it's hot we should try for the morning or late evening bite.

I would like to start by finding the right place for a crankbait.

Maybe pulling out to deep water and find a "alley" that runs along the edge of the weeds or a drop off. Find a crankbait that will run along the bottom all the way back to the boat. We know swimbaits and swimjigs can be run on the bottom pretty easy.

I also have a few drop shot tricks to try.
