Jackson, All;
I saw the same boat at the Peanut last week when out fishing with my brother. They were using live bait and kept everything, including undersized hybrids. I almost called it in. Here's a number to call to report game violations from the TPW annual hunting fishing regulations handbook (Get their TX number off their boat) 1-800-792-GAME. Hit option 2. If my memory serves me right the fine is like $200 a fish. That will put a stop to poaching fast.. P.S. If they are actually caught a reward is paid by TPW.

What if it's a group of red neck fellas from Garland? If we are racial profiling, viatnamese prefer Cats over fish.
Why is it that a guy can't DESCRIBE what he saw without being accused of racial profiling? If you were to describe a person you know to a person who had never met them you would most likely tell them all sorts of details about their appearance including their RACE, but the second you include race in a negative or critical comment about someone and you are PROFILING or being RACIST???

I've been able to track several years worth of Hybrid stockings.
They seem to follow a similar pattern. The fish go in, 8-12 months later, I start finding them in the throw net...sometimes by the dozen about 3-6 inches long,(I handle them with kid gloves!).
Suddenly, they practically vanish for a year or so, then they show back up at 12-15 inches long. Often hanging out with the biggest Sand Bass in the lake.
This is the period they are most often mistaken for Sand Bass and kept.
Once the big "juniors" get to 17-20 inches long they can be found with larger Hybrids in fairly large schools/pods.
I wonder if this is unique to my lake, or is it programmed into them?

For the price of some of those fines, a fellow could hire a guide and stay out of trouble, as long as the guide has his license.

Hey Keith and all, We've all cleaned hybrids and sandies with a belly full of shad. Are hybrids cannibalistic? I've never cleaned a fish and seen a hybrid fingerling in its belly that I could recognize. I've cleaned thousands of fish but I've never seen one. My gut feeling tells me they eat each other but I wasn't sure if anyone knew for sure. Jackson

I've found Drum, Carp, Bream, Shad, Crappie(once), Catfish and yes even a small Sandy or two in a Hybrids gut. But no baby Hybrids I know of.

Even though they are released in the open lake, It seems that they hold tight to shoreline cover (especially docks) and then head out into the lake when they get a little size to them.
