You guys are killing me. I'm a Brownwood boy and Lake Proctor was a fun lake a long time ago. I was young and didn't know squat about any hybrids in there. We caught a lot of blacks over there.

What a great part of Texas.

Nope, wasn't me. Haven't been back over there since the last little cool front hit.

Nice comment Fishboy Frank. If it hatnt been for the friendly folks on this site offering help to a newbie, I would have never gone offshore tuna fishn. Woulda never happened. I am probably correct that there are alot guys on here that read / ask questions that work hard and never get alot of time to actually go fish. Guys that spend more time dreaming about when their lives will be less hectic and can afford the time to go. And when that time comes, this site helps reduce the time it takes to get back up to snuff on places, tackle, technique, etc. I have also been the recipient of help on the water. Went fishing one day up the Nolan with a buddy and we slew the whites. Went a couple days later with my daughter and nothing. Tried to ease by a couple of guys who were coming up river and they had their daughters with them. They asked if we had had any luck and I replied that we had only a couple of bites. He said that they had been killn em in that area and asked what we had been using. Long story short, he gave us a handful of chartruse plastic worms / heads and we began catchn fish. My daughter will always remember the kindness shown to us that day.

Fishing is and always will be to me a time to get away. Be in a quiet place. Relax. Unwind. Remember times with my dad who is gone now. Memories that will always be with me. Pass those experiences on to my children. Give them memories of me to keep the rest of their lives.
