when are they going to be available? As of right now, I believe there only out of Japan. There are several Elite Pros using them though.

There are two other japan Abu reels as well.  Abu Elite Aurora  Abu Elite IB Awesome reels both under 7oz

It will be out in June. It is on the same level as the Shimano Core, but lighter, holds more line and is cheaper. Should retail around $349.

 I have the 150 model and its the best reel Ive ever owned I absolutely love it! Same here, I use mine for powershotting and couldn't be happier. I got 7 of them when the first production hit the market last winter, I am glad y'all have had good luck, every one I had made a ton of noise and were annoying. My personal experience with the smoke reel I would rate it between junk and a POS. I sent them all back and now I have all STX's and Winches, and couldn't be more happy...
