Have been able to do a limited number of trips this month when athletics hasnt been going on...which officially ended friday for me at State Track meet in Ausint where our kid got 5th in 3a for triple jump...enough...good stuff...3 new record this month Fishin has been pretty good for most part..finding a few fish suspended already but most part shallow is where it's at. Tffer Harold Mckee , Chadie and Dad Joe joined me this month...Harold stated things off right with a 14 right off the bat.  Then Chaddie stepped up to the plate with a new Junior ANgler record 23.3 pd blue! His expression and fight reminded so much of what this is all about!   The Mckee's with a good mess of South Texas fish for the fryer  THe Poindexters of Spring Branch fished another evening the follwing week...the three generation boys tore some fish up as well. 5 min into trip...billie sets the tone with a nice CPRed 23 pder  Not to be outdone by his dad clayton joins in on the fun and whacks a new Junior angler record 29.4 pd blue   The fellas with their catch  ..made for a good mess of fillets

Tffer Dave Thomas come down to fish for bit and managed to get enough fish for mem day fry. Things looking good with a 14 off the bat  Dave then caught new river record 41.7 lb blue and a PB  WTG BUDDY! Loved every minute of it brotha! We decided to wait till morning to clean em' and dave had pretty good mess fish to take home for their fry  I'm done with coaching till clinics and the fall... so it's FISH ON for the summer...shoot me an email or text and we'll go get after em'.All fish came on shad/perch on 8/0 TC Hooks, Pro Angler Rods and King Kahle 10/0's

Ken, I've been teaching/coaching this year and fishing tournaments across the state.It's been a wonderful year.
Havent been to calaveras in while but looking to head that way soon.
