Anyone got a report on how Kickapoo is going..? Went to the Henrietta Bridge today and got nothing. Looking for somewhere to go tomorrow morning..

Took my kids to the Texas Junior Anglers kid fish at Gordon lake and was just amazed at the size of catfish they stocked it with. I'm talking 24 inch cats and alot were caught. My son got one nice one, but some people had quite a mess of fish from the morning, as the day warmed up around noon the bite pretty much stopped. I'm betting early morning or late evening would be productive. The event was from 9AM to noon. I might give it a try tomorrow afternoon and see if I can find me some dinner.

The old man fished the third bridge yesterday and only caught one. I hope the spawn is still going!

It seems like it never even started the way the bite has been the last two months. This year's spawn is really throwing me off.

well i need a free 12v battery now!! got a free boat, a free trolling motor so might as well keep it up!!! any one have any extra batteries laying around in their garage???


gave up on the crappie this weekend and targeted the cats!!! went to petrolia (wichita river) early (530 am) stayed till around 11 and caught 2 turtles, and one carp!! all on shrimp!!! then went to a friends in Iowa park and went to Gordon lake, caught 1 channel about 24"!!!

I also went to a friends house but not in Iowa Park and caught a 4 lb. bass on a spinnerbait. Everything but crappie are biting.

May 25, 2011 Water semi�turbid; 68 degrees; 4.93� low. Black bass are fair and moving to shallower water. Actively spawning crappie are very good off the dam, state park piers and at the Henrietta and Deer Creek bridges in shallow water on chartreuse jigs or minnows. White bass are good and schooling. Blue catfish are good on cut shad while anchored in 5�20 feet and on juglines.

O.K. I'll take one for the team and check out third bridge Saturday morning .... I'm not too optimistic so we'll see how it goes. Sure wish I could use my boat instead of walking those dang rocks.

i heard this guy in the cafe in IP and i overheard him say his friend caught 18 in 2 hours!!the day before yest
