I'm at waurika now, two days so far and can't fish because of the wind, been more of a camping trip instead. I can tell you the crappie are not shallow anymore.

well anyone do any good this weekend!!

went out sat and fished second bridge towards blue grove.
only caught 4 keepers. crappie,sandbass, channel cat and
a 12 lb blue cat. still wating for the crappie to turn on.

Went to red barge and had a huge drum or carp on. didnt see it but i had it 2 ft from the bank! i was mad cuz i wanted to see it!

ok, im hitting the water tomorrow. this weather is great. only thing is I have to be at work bt 6:30 tomorrow night in Weatherford, Tx. 50 more crappie just put in my dad's freezer about an 1hr ago. they culled for the last hr to pick the best 50.

No, Sam, I didn't do any good at all. Sunday, I fished that rocky shore where the fishing pier/old boat docks are in the state park. On minnows, I got one 5" sandie, one 5 lb. carp, and (nearly) a 4 year old kid who kept tossing rocks into the water while trying to hit my bobber. Grrr. His daddy was fishing on the pier and had muscles galore. Heading back out in the morning.

Dont mess with him! haha

took the boat out to lake wichita, fished all the stick ups from the old pier!! one small crappie!! lost a few jigs from the brush u nder the water!! fished the cove!!! anchored right in the middle of the cove and caught a few crappie just under the 10" limit, right off the bottom!!


guess it is time to start heading to arrowhead sometime ths week and see how i do there!!

Had a buddy go to the bridge today and NOTHING! I guess they are never going to turn on...

I cleaned 74 Tuesday. Almost all females had eggs. Caught them in about. 5 ft of water fishing 20-24 inches. Took 3hrs. We were first boat there but when we left there were still 4 boats in little cove. My thoughts are fish are spawning just in a litttle deeper than usual water. I'm heading back this aftrnoon but may not be able to get the boat out bc of weather.

He's fishing at the cove between hb and 3rd bridge. It's only accessible by boat.

I will have to get my bass buster out there n see what I can do!

Went to the boat slips at Arrowhead Thursday afternoon. Only us and another pair out there fishing. I've never felt the wind blow so hard, it was as if we were sitting on cruise liner just bouncing up and down, up and down. Heard they were biting though so thought we would give it a shot. Caught one nice keeper and then nothing else. Finally got another bite and discovered why there were not crappie biting. Pulled in a 2 1/2 ft. Gar. Then saw some others skimming the top of the water. Cut the gar loose and went home. Gar=no crappie around.
