I need to find this beaver dam, I tried to track it on google maps using the directions you all gave but I don't think I was able to find that boat ramp you were first talking about.

Sounds tempting but crappie fishing out of a boat in this wind must be brutal.

Hey guys...I've been out of town for the last month or so but came back this week. I went out to arrowhead for a couple of hours this week but didn't have much luck. Went to both the dam and henrietta bridge and only caught one lousy drum.

Been in Waxahachie this weekend. I need to go fishing bad. I crave it. Will be going tomarrow weather permitting.

a few friends and i went out to the third bridge Friday night and we didnt get anything!! there was a guy we talked to real quick said he had 8 big ones!! think he was over by the bridge!!

then we went to the river in Petrolia!! i hooked two big catfish but both had got off right at the bank!!! one i gave to much slack i think and the other broke my line at the hook some how!

Sam, if you go to bass pro get a spool of uncoated stainless leader and a pack of swedges from the saltwater aisle and make your own leaders with the hook permanently attached. I came up with it when I fished byers bridge and kept losing the bigones. when you get a bite you can really lay into them if you use a heavy braid along with it.

I would make a bunch at home ahead of time and used a slip sinker so the fish couldn't feel the line. Its 90lb test and really flexible. the swedges are offshore angler brand 0.8 mm.

the last two weeks, several trips, we have been at the baitshop corner of 1954 and 281 early. get to the fishing hole before the wind gets too bad. lot easier taken your time back to the boat ramp with livewell full of crappie. im fightin wind and rain wednesday morning.

Bad weather has kept me off the lake. Being off the lake makes me mad. Me mad turns into me getting in trouble. Me being in trouble means I cant fish anyways! Dont you just love this weather?

Don't get me started on this weather! I might go off and end up on the wall of shame. Anyway, I fished HB yesterday for about an hour before sunset and as usual .......nothing!

This sucks!!! I don't have hardly any crappie in the freezer and the spawn is about over!!! This time last year I was stocked full of crAppie!!!
