I'm new to the fishing community but not to the area. I just bought a pontoon to do some fishing with my wife on Benbrook lake. I've fished quite a bit in other states and always had a contour map available for whatever lake I was on. I can't for the life of me find one for benbrook lake outside of hte navionics app and I can't print from that (don't want to take my computer or ipad on the boat). Does anyone happen to have a printable version or can point me to one? I'm specifically looking for the depth contours. GPS markings or other features are just a perk. Thanks in advance for any help This forum needs lake specific sections

do you have a GPS and navionics chip? possibly the $10 app on the iphone would help you? almost as cheap as a paper map.

The navionics app is like 38 bucks now. I don't have a good depth finder, it's an old 90something eagle and is pretty much only good for depth while running. I want the map to plan fishing trips and learn the lay out of the lake at different water levels.

what will you be fishing for? maybe I can help you eliminate some water. the south end is all pretty much shallow. the north end is where the best fishing is, in my opinion. There are some humps on the west side of the lake in a few different locations. the points usually have fish sitting on the ends of them.
be very cautious.. this lake can get NASTY in a hurry with a SOUTH wind!! i mean dangerous nasty!

bass that will eat a lure I don't like live bait. I basically want to hunt LM, SM, Spot, hybrid, sand, whatever the lake has, mostly interested in LM though :P

The navionics for my iphone was 9.99...it is great. Maybe it has gone up in price. HOWEVER.....do one more googling and check out angling-technologies mapper. It has it. Good contour map. I too have done a mighty quest for a paper map. Found one at Brazos Baits in Weatherford...no contours. it was their last one and was old.

Here's a link to a map system. Just dial in on Benbrook lake. You can adjust the size to your liking. It's free. http://mapper.angling-technologies.com/atom/pmap.php.Good luck, hope it helps.
