Last weekend I was at Hubbard at the 66 ramp after unloading the boat I was circling around to pick up my buddy and I suddenly realized I forgot my plug so I pulled up to the ramp and turned the boat around thinking I could reach down and put the plug in man was I wrong and when I first started to put the plug in there wasn't a single person waiting and then all of sudden there was a line of about 5 people. So after getting soaked up to my waist I still had to load the boat on the trailer so I could reach it.I never noticed the plug being so far down. That was my first time to do that I will never do that again I am sure all the people at the ramp were cussing me.lol

The other day at the local boat ramp we were getting ready to leave had the trailer in the water and ready for loading out 17 ft skeeter and a drunk set of budies were waiting to load there boat. one of the other guy in the boat thought his trailer was at the ramp and went for it befor i knew it we had a sun beaten old 19ft 5 king fisher on our trailer. With my wife in my truck starting to pull him out with me yelling form 15 yards away STOP STOP please. Need less to say to many drinks on a boat at sundown is bad! Didn't do it to my self but was very Dumb.
Has this ever happened to anyone?
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!

I have forgotten the plug on more than one occasion. Pretty sure the game warden has watched me through his binoculars reliefing myself more than once.

Drive out to the lake with a buddy. Start rigging up the Jon boat.
Seats, check. Motor, Check. Fishing tackle, Check. Trolling motor, Check. Battery, .....
Friend looks up at me. "We forgot the battery didn't we?"
*nods head in disbelief*
EDIT: Forgot the plug on one occasion to. Backing the boat down into the water with my friend in the boat. His face was priceless.

I could tell many on this buddy, but just one for now. In the mornings as it gets warmer we start taking off jackets, etc. Sometimes we leave them on the seat and plan to sit on them. One day my buddy leaned forward forgetting his jacket with his only set of truck keys in it...doing 70 mph across the lake the wind snatched that jacket out and the rest of the day was very long.

I know a guy that was getting ready to leave the dock one morning before sun up and decided to put on some sunscreen. He reached in the glove box and grabbed what he thought was sunscreen. He covered his arms and face with it, he rubbed it in real good.
Several hours later he went to the marina for lunch, standing in line he could smell a nasty smell but he just played it off as a marina smell. He did notice a few people looking at him but didn't put it together in his head.
That night when he got home his wife pointed out that he was stinking up the place. He went out to his boat and looked in the glove box.
He found a bottle of crawfish fish attractant, no sunscreen. Will you please come over and help me clean the coffee spew off my keyboard? LOL!

went with a buddy to Lone Star this morning. pull up in line and undo straps, transom saver, etc...one of my ratchet straps on the back of the trailer is kind of tricky, so i have to show the buddy how to do it. i assumed he did the other side and vice versa. he backs me into the water, i put it in reverse and no dice. i romp on it. no movement.
DOH!!!! the other ratchet strap was still on...
i am sure the guys fishing near the ramp got a good chuckle... Ha. I did the same thing this spring on Ivie. Took a buddy fishing for the first time and with him being a fellow boat owner he started helping me with the pre-launch routine. Normally I don't let anyone do anything but pull the truck out as I'm putting in to ensure I've got all my boxes mentally checked. Well, he goes to backing me in and I'm trying to reverse off the trailer but the boats not budging. Then I noticed the boat was moving sideways closer and closer until finally touching the courtesy dock. We (uh, I) had left both ratchet straps attached to the stern and the boat had floated the trailer off the ramp until the trailer was partially under the courtesy dock. I had to give it all I had to push both the boat and trailer away from the dock to get it lined back up on the ramp enough to pull back out. This is a 20 ft Champ we're talking about. Just thankful we didn't have a ramp full of pre-launch tournament scowls shaking their heads at us during the debacle.

I was getting the boat out at Bob Sandlin State Park by myself a couple years ago when the water was real low. I pulled up in real shallow water and put the anchor out at the back of the boat to keep the rear from swinging around on the shallows.Backed the trailer in and got in the boat to back out.The boat would not move. I had it trimmed up because of the shallow water and goosed it a few times and nothing ..just water and mud coming over the back of the boat.Sat there for a second trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Saw my anchor rope hanging over the side...DOH

I took my father-in-law out once. Backed the boat in the water, jumped in and realized the boat key was still on the kitchen table an hour away.
First time I put my boat in the water she didn't want to turn over. I realized I forgot to prime it. I jumped in the water and walked around the back of the boat with wallet and phone still in my pocket.

This one time though my dad and I were at fork he fishes the front I fish out of the back. I saw a fish splash towards the front of the boat so I decided to cast there. while working the bait (wacky rig) felt an incredible YANK!! set the hook, started reeling.......................I caught his 50 lb thrust trolling motor. hahaha LOL

I measured a fish that ended up short, and for some reason I threw the bump board into the lake instead of the fish.

I stepped on a check it stick and had it do a perfect 180 off the boat and into the drink and I've left at least three nets on the back deck of my boat only to have them blow off.
I am going to buy one just to find out for myself. Half y'all lie like hell and the other half are full of chit. www.anglersprotackle.com/store, A great locally owned business www.bcfw.org Bass Club of Fort Worth
