went with a buddy to Lone Star this morning. pull up in line and undo straps, transom saver, etc...one of my ratchet straps on the back of the trailer is kind of tricky, so i have to show the buddy how to do it. i assumed he did the other side and vice versa. he backs me into the water, i put it in reverse and no dice. i romp on it. no movement.

DOH!!!! the other ratchet strap was still on...

i am sure the guys fishing near the ramp got a good chuckle...

One of the stupid things I do is sit at home when I have nobody to fish with because I'm scared to death of making an a$$ of myself at the ramp.

While fishing from the bank yesterday, I wasn't paying attention to where I was standing. I felt an ant bite, looked down and I was standing in a HUGE pile of ants. They were crawling up my pants.

I got all the ants off my right leg and continue fishing. Feel another ant bite. Look down and my left leg is covered from the same pile. Glad I had on jeans.

The stupidest thing I have done so far was on one of those days where nothing is going right. The day before the fishing was awesome, everything was just going right. Never hanging up, didn't lose any fish or lures, perfect!

Next day, snags, losing fish, the ones that would bite, losing lures left and right, etc.

Well I had my very last sun perch chatterbait tied on and had a cut in my line and had to pull line off and then re-tie it. I pulled all the bad line out, cut lure off, tied it back on and threw the lure into the water. As I get up and grab my reel I see the old line going over...to late lost it. I tied it to the other end of the bad line! LOL

almost everybody has forgotten to put the plug in the boat ,but my champion has 3 holes, livewell in and out and the one the plug goes into, I put the plug in the wrong hole, needless to say when I got back from the parking lot my passenger at the time was my girlfriend, now my wife anounces to the world that my boat has about 500 gallons of water in it and was sinking,we still laugh about that ............

I know a guy that was getting ready to leave the dock one morning before sun up and decided to put on some sunscreen. He reached in the glove box and grabbed what he thought was sunscreen. He covered his arms and face with it, he rubbed it in real good.

Several hours later he went to the marina for lunch, standing in line he could smell a nasty smell but he just played it off as a marina smell. He did notice a few people looking at him but didn't put it together in his head.

That night when he got home his wife pointed out that he was stinking up the place. He went out to his boat and looked in the glove box.

He found a bottle of crawfish fish attractant, no sunscreen.

hahaha just last weekend at Fork, I was soo excited to get on the water, I just backed up my trailer into the water without taking my transom saver, taking the straps off and getting all my rods out of my truck. Man did I feel like a dumba$$!
