The crappie are still full of eggs. They are starting to look a little more red now.

Good sign. Now they just need to move into shallow water!

Going out to the dam here in a few hours with a few buddies. Going to try to catch them sandies and crappie and also going to toss out a catfish set up to see if I can snag anything out there for dinner.

well after gbeing inspired by Phillip (aka vetro), catching 20 crappie this morning out at the beaver dam, i decided to go out to Wichita lake!! i caught a 14" or so large mouth and about 6 six inch crappie!! fished about 2 hrs!!

Wne to sikes lake to mess around 4 couple of hours. All there is is mudcats. And they arwe tiny!

Just got back from arrowhead dam with a buddy of mine and we managed to catch in about two hours. I caught the catfish, the huge crappie (biggest to date for me) and two nice sand bass on the same green road runner with a shad 2inch body in pretty shallow water. That cat put up a heck of a fight on my ultra light was a blast. I released about 7 10inch fish that I thought were a tad to small even if they were keepers, over all got about 20+ crappie and sandies with the one cat in about a 2hr period.

Nope took a buddy with me so I had to leave the kayak behind, though overall great two hour trip from the shore. Going to missouri this week so I'm hoping to do some fishing up in those parts too.

Man those are some nice fish. Talked to a guy today and he said his buddy went to wichita at the dam and caught 30 crappie onminnows. He also caught some hybrids!

I was there this morning between 9-12 and I caught about 30 small crappie and only 5 keepers!! but it was fun. There were some guys there and looked
Like they had about 10-15. Wind was really bad!! Hard to feel then hitting the jig

The old man caught 11 this afternoon at the third bridge. All on minnows. All females and still loaded with eggs.

Anything going on at Lake Waurika, was hopefull of hearing about the sandies and hybrids,,,seems that most of the reports from Waurika come from this area. Please help,lol.
