if you guys are casting so hard your ripping baits in half you need to tune your equipment in better or get some better stuff. never ripped a bait in half on a cast. btw I prefer the Tornado. It's almost all I use for soft plastics. It is called wind...have you heard of it? I have been casting into at least a 15-20 mph wind 95% of the time this spring. Heck for that matter...it is always windy or so it seems as of late. Never the less...the Tornado is lighter, softer, has a thinner core, therefore requires more effort to cast and causes it to break in half when texposed. If you will run the hook deeper into the head before coming out it should solve this issue. Since I started doing that its not uncommon to get 4-5 fish per bait, but honestly I've been fishing Tornados since they hit the market and have never had one tear in half on the cast. Not saying its not possible or anything, I've just never experienced that.

I use both of them. I think the tornadoes are stronger and I like all the colors they are in. But, it is easier for me to run down to Academy and pick up packs of GrandeBass (when they have them). I have found they sell the tornadoes at a little store here in Longview so I will be able to pick them up. I will say this, Hag supports my son's college fishing team which I appreciate.

Zig Zags work great! But sadly have been discontinued. Buy the LFT 10" worm and clip the ribbon tail off and viola zig zag

Since I started doing that its not uncommon to get 4-5 fish per bait, but honestly I've been fishing Tornados since they hit the market and have never had one tear in half on the cast. Not saying its not possible or anything, I've just never experienced that. Well...I guess I will give them another try. Honestly, I have not used one in about 2 years because they tore too easily. I guess they made a change or I just got a bunch of bad batches. Mind you that I used these with a screwlock picasso shakey head with the point texposed. That is a pretty light wire hook and shouldn't tear the baits main core too bad when penetrated into it. I even tried keeping them in a cooler to prevent them from softening up from the heat only to still have it tear in half. It was a 50/50 chance on any given cast that the whole bait would remain intact at insertion into the water. I completely gave up on them and decided if I wanted a bait that the tail stood up on for shakey head then I would use Big Bite Baits Jeff Kreit Squirrel Tail. What strikes me as odd is that I do not ever recall in my 20+ years of avid fishing having a problem with any plastic baits, other then flake(too much or not enough)issues, up until the last few years. Ever since bass fishing went mainstream with all of the televised events and the hardcore promoting of companies/lures by pros the quality of the products have really suffered in my opinion. It seems like it always something...the baits didn't come out of the mold clean, the scent is weak, the colors are different, the salt content changed...etc.

Ethics?? Kind of ironic that you would post something about ethics when you stalk posts and take unprovoked shots every chance you get. Look in the mirror bud.

I really liked the original GB Rattlesnakes before they made the "change" to a lesser quality of product for the same price. Can't really comment on Tornados as I have just started using them, but scent and plastic overall are of higher standards than the GB. As a disclaimer for being a detractor or a promoter of products I am not on anyones Pro Staff and am self funded.
