What is the difference in these baits? I am looking for a new C-Rig bait and would like to know what differences there are. They look identical on the websites.... Is it: Colors Scents Texture Floating or non floating
I am not looking for people bashing these baits, just the pro's & con's thanks.

Hags seem softer to me. Both catch fish like crazy

Just my opinion buy I think the sink rate ia slower on the grande bass. Also if you hold then side by aide there is a difference I have tried both but all i use now is grande bass.

We did a test on the two in my fish tank and the tornado stands straight up on the bottom. The grande bass tail floats a little horizontal. I like the tornado more based on the way you can nose hook it on a football head jig and it stands straight vertical. just my two cents. They are both great baits.
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the boat looking like an idiot.

the reason the tornado stands up is because there are air chambers in the tail you can put rattles in if you want. thats the real difference.

Same bait. One has a hole in the end.

Do they use the same scent?

i like them both...A LOT...
the air/rattle chamber gives the tornado a little more versatility in presentation... and it floats off the bottom.
if I was told to pick only one for Crigging, it would be a tornado, simply because it will float higher off the bottom..
for Txrig, im indifferent. i use them both and the only thing that causes me to prefer one over the other, is picking the colors that I have available and making my selection based on pattern and water color.

The buoyancy of the baits is the difference to me.

I don't fish neither so dont have experience. However I was at Academys recently and the GB different packaging the rattle snakes were in caught my attention. I noticed the baits where dry, had no scent and several looked deformed or had plastic ridges. Sure anything has the chance of catching fish but they just look cheap now. I don't think they should have been released for sale. So I would consider Hags.

i was at academy last sat just browsing and killing time, and dreaming of having the whole crankbait section in my garage! LOL!
I saw the grandebass plastics in the new packaging and opened one up. I picked a bait out, and smelled it and sqeezed on it. GB made a mistake by changing around thier stuff. the bait was definately harder and not as much juice on it. I put the bait back in and the package up.. and then smelled my hand... didnt have any scent on it... not good. the old style left scent on your hand. I will say, i wont buy any of these. I will go with that other guy due to the fact the baits are covered in scent and the softer bait for the action... which is why i like this style of bait on a shaky head in the first place. shake shake shake.

Mike, Ill give you an honest opinion here. Both those baits are good for c-rigging. I think the snake might be just a bit better for c-rigging though. I have since gone back to the old original LFT 4.5 ringfry. And heres why. This bait will sway back and forth when moved quickly through the water just like the others. Plus it falls a bit slower and is flat out injected to the max with scent, so the fish will hold it a bit longer. So what Im saying is, both are good, but dont forget the LFT ringfry. They will all catch fish on c-rigs.

I can't get either locally, but I have found a few bags of LFT Zig Zags. Are they comparable on a shakeyhead?
