Zig Zags work great! But sadly have been discontinued.

The Zig Zag is a longer bait. The ringfry is the comparable bait to the snake and tornado.

Been using the Tornadoes ever since Hag came out with them. Very good bait. Never needed to use the Rattlesnakes.

the hags just seem to catch more fish ...even than the original rattlesnakes before they changed the make-up of them

Neither....the LFT Ring Fry is the better bait for c-rigging.

Shaky head is another story. I preferred the older version of the rattlesnake as it held scent, was good in quality, and you could catch more then 1 fish with 1 bait. The tornado has all the variables for being a great bait for this presentation but is too soft and the main rib(core) of the bait is too thin causing the bait to tear in half on casts.

Just my opinion....Take it for what it is worth.

TORNADOs,...seems like they have more movement in the water, the standup tail sold me,...the wife is a dragger, and she's swears by the TORNADO's..jim

Spent a day on the water with Hag on OH Ivie and fished his Tornado a lot. Caught some big ones, too. I had problems with the bait ripping in half on the cast. I was "chunking it" while tex-posing the hook. I started not pushing the hook all the way through, and never had the problem again. Hook-up ratio didn't change either. Caught several fish on the same bait, so I'd say they are durable given the action. Love the floating tail like others have mentioned.

The tornado is not round. Is the rattlesnake round? Can't remember.

I like the scent of the original Rattlesnakes.

I don't have a lot of experience with the Tornados, but I like the fact that they float better.

if you guys are casting so hard your ripping baits in half you need to tune your equipment in better or get some better stuff. never ripped a bait in half on a cast.

btw I prefer the Tornado. It's almost all I use for soft plastics.

Try them both and let us know what you think. I have never used the Tornado but from what others have said I guess I should, Grandebass is sold at Academy and Gander Mountain here in Tyler, I don't know where I can get the Hags locally.

i been fishin the gb rattlesnakes and they are awesome baits, i have my dad ship em up here from east texas, a friend of mine here in MD. just ordered 6 packs of snakes online direct from gb and they are fine. maybe they got the issues taken care of. never fished the tornados but would like to try em out !! throw em both and see which one ya like !!

I fished the grandebass rattlesnake for several years and had a lot of success with it. Switched to hags tornado this year and have a lot of success with it also. I like the tornado better mainly because the tail floats up and I like the 5 inch size. The bad thing about the tornado is there not as easy to get, usually have to order off of the internet.

Will agree with some previous post, not sure why grandebass changed up what they had going. I picked up a few bags last week and the smell didnt seem to be there and the rigs were messed up in 2 of my packs.

It is called wind...have you heard of it? I have been casting into at least a 15-20 mph wind 95% of the time this spring. Heck for that matter...it is always windy or so it seems as of late. Never the less...the Tornado is lighter, softer, has a thinner core, therefore requires more effort to cast and causes it to break in half when texposed.
