All the big bass are at the 820 and Ramey launch site. If your lucky you'll get offered some BBQ and sit down for a "smoke" with the locals.

Never been to Benbrook but Lake Arlington was always fun fishing when I was living in Kennedale. I chose it over Joe Pool all the time. If the water is up it can be a blast. I've caught an 8 and a 9 out there and have taken a picture for another guy on two separate occasions with an 11 and a 12! PM me if you want any specific info. I don't fish or live close anymore so I'll talk.

I live 5 minutes from Benbrook and only fish it cause it is close.I fished it alot in March and early April and caught alot of 15 lb. stringers when the wind would let me fish. Benbrook is not a good lake to fish when the wind is blowing. The females have spawned and my experience is that lake will get tough to fish until the spawn next year. There are some big bass in that lake and I thought there might be a SAL weighed in this year.Didn't happen but I think they are there. My best there last year in the summer was a 7 lb. fish.I have seen pictures of several fish up to 9 lbs from last year.

No fish in Lake Arlington. Go somewhere else.

I have caught one fish in Lake Arlington. 4.5 pound bass off the bank using a popper in 1-2 feet of water. I have seen others catch 7-9 pounders and small bass while crappie fishing. Crappie is abundant, catfish are abundant, sand bass are hard to come by because they are in the main area of the lake and dont really get active until late July. If you launch on the Ft Worth side, and have a bad day, you can always find a good domino game with the locals. Some of them were pretty cool!!

Benbrook: Never caught any LMB just sand bass and stripers(very small stripers) and a few hybrids
