Which came first, facebook or the TFF? For me it was the TFF. Then I watched the movie about facebook and set myself up on it. And I have a job to do 5 days a week! Too many comments, posts, blogs... and too little time. And oh yeah, I have to get my fishing in sometime!!!

Crazy Elvis, what you described can all be accomplished by email.

I suppose it could in a sense....but when using facebook it allows friends and family to respond to individual photos and post concerning my son's progress...plus I'm not sure how I would have connected with so many people from my past without facebook. I know I could have possibly tracked down some of them but facebook made it pretty easy.

I guess I could say the same thing about any social site...including TFF....it could all be done by email really.

I'm not promoting facebook or telling anyone they have to use it....just pointing out there are uses for it beyond the stupid 'I'm at Lowes in the john' type posts.

Only if you know people's email addresses.

Well, if you consider posting " Going to the mall with sister" or " having girl time" or "weekend at the lake pics" on TFF, then it is your facebook. I do not do it myself, wife does. I hear all pf the parents in the stands at baseball games talking about it, the women, not the men.

Facebook is an employer's best tool to find out who they don't want to hire. I always check the accounts of people I interview. Its amazing all the stupid stuff people are willing to put out there about themselves.

It amazes me looking at some of the profiles of people my age. Some people are, well... I won't say

I've thought about deleting mine, but there are actually a few people on there that I enjoy keeping in touch with. I can't stand the people that have multiple status updates in a single day. Time to delete some folks.

I have a facebook solely because my family and g/f begged me to make one, i have less than a dozen friends on it.

It's only my g/f, my family, really close friends that's it.

you can't search me and even if you did it's not under my real name or attached to my normal email address.

it's completely cut off from the crazyness that is most people's facebook.

I post pictures of fish when i catch a good one, and that's about it
