I heard the same thing about eating hard heads. from some old fishermen he told me to try it, but i still havent tryed it. I will as soon as i go fishing.

The rubbing of the belly slime may reduce some of the pain...MAYBE, but also will put more bacteria into the wound than necessary. The heat source is the best thing to do once you "bleed" the wound out as much as possible. It's always worked for me. I used to commercial shrimp and when we would cull our catch, there was never a trip we wouldn't get stuck with those pesky little bitty hardheads. And yes, they're just as potent.

yesterday i was fishing in galveston on the t for hardheads in about an hour i caught alot of them but one of them was was choped in half it looked like somthing bit the lower half any suggestion to what bit the hardhead?
hardheads are fleas
