Yeah that was a no go. I have seen the ocean calmer then I saw that lake yesterday, we got out to the lake and just turned around it was that bad.

Well fished the south west corner moved to the middle of the south side, stoped over on The south side of the bridgeand made it to the north west corner by the pump house and nothing!! So now we will try the state park this eve!!! Thi k the wind is supposed to slow down a lil bit.

Sorry sam. Do you think that the wind is affecting them? Is it blowing that hard up there?

I'm heading go arrowhead myself around 5pm and was trying to figure out where I want to launch the kayak from. Was thinking the west side boat launch and trolling for sandies on my way to fish the oil derricks and the dam. Also was thinking of launching from pawnee point and exploring that area. Anybody have some advice? I'm thinking the dam and derricks since I have done decent there recentley.

Phil, you need me to help you occupy that great boat of yours so we can empty some of the coves out at Arrowhead?

I feel for you sam. I put in on the west side boat ramp, paddled all the way tto the dam, fished it up and down the entire length and got nothing. Slow day for everybody I talked with few smallies here and there, even the oil derricks didn't produce. Seems like the sandies were running and hitting the surface. So I trolled back and forth and still nothing. Oh well at least I didn't waste much gas.

I wonder if the fishing will ever get good before the spawn is over? I know the wind has been keeping me from my favorite spots but now this cold front may hurt even worst.

Has anyone fished Plum since the catfish stocking? I've been struugling with crappie and forgot about plum, the stocking dates are.

I have a friendthat has been fishing off and on there and has said they are real small cats hasn't caught anything bigger then 11" at plum. but he fishes it anyway hoping to get some bigger ones!!


Got bored with the wife out of town today and decided to braved the wind out at lake Wichita todAy Between 3-4!! Caught a 14" sand bass off chicken breast and got a bunch more bites but no takers!!! Thought I would try for some cats, but apparently sandies like chicken breast, Also had some left over minnow and caught a 14" large mouth, and 2 8" crappie!!
