All Texans fishing in Mexico need to buy a Mexican fishing license for the simple reason we know that all Mexicans citizens fishing here in Texas have bought their Texas fishing licence...right?

There's a guy at my work that wanted to go fishing told him he needs a license first but they won't let him buy one without a tx id

Yes, Im positive the 3 families chunking cast nets in the creek by my house this morning all have there license.

I would absolutely not buy a mexican fishing license and I really dont get how it comes down to being a christian as someone alluded to.

Fact is... down there those peeps do what they want, when they want, and how they want, there is zero credibility with law enforcement, and a stinkin license aint gonna stop them from getting what they want from you.

Several years ago two bass boats were confiscated that were fishing in the Salinillas, because someone in the boat (a child in one case) didn't have a fishing permit. No, you don't need a boat permit any more. I talked to one of the persons, a veterinarian from McAllen, and he got his boat back after a few months, damaged (they dragged it up on a flat bed) and it cost him several thousand dollars with lawyer fees, etc.
Better be safe than sorry, and like was said, we require a Mx Citizen to have a TX license, so why shouldn't we have to have a MX license if we fish over there. I haven't heard of any MX enforcement over there after that incident, but with my luck, if I didn't have a permit, then they would be there checking.

There are Mexico game wardens and you better have the license. I have been checked in Mexico more than on the U.S. side of lake Falcon and Amistad. They have always been very considerate, but those 50 cals. on that boat shoot to far to be running from them.
