Great post, Brady. The photography is very good. Did you only use the GoPro or was there another camera involved? Also,is that a pool rake pole you're using for the overhead shot?

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Bert - The shots from the pole are with the GoPro and so is the underwater shot that is half under water, half above water. The other pics were either with a Canon Rebel xti, or a Pentax Optio W-90 waterproof camera.
I want to make this video really cool and so yeah, unfortunately it will take me a couple weeks.

Me and my buddy plan to do this trip hopefully next year. I would anticipate three or four would be better than two for this trip so I'm sure we will be trying to recruit Dave99 or others that have made this trip and want to return. Ofcourse, an excursion with Shane down there might also be an option depending on economics...
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

If anyone is planning a Devils trip, please, for the love of God, don't hesitate to PM me if you need an extra person.
I have been wanting to do this for a while now. Will do District. We plan to hopefully do this next year. My buddy and I are both out of Dallas as well.

This no doubt is a beautiful river that I would love to float down sometime. But I just looked at the mileage from my house to see what kind of drive it was. 7 hours 22 minutes/457.84 miles Fuel Cost: $117.11 at 15 MPG I'll have to stick to fishing Ray Bob for awhile .

That's why you car pool man! I have been scoping out info about the Devil's too. My Honda Ridgeline gets about 18-22mpg. My wife and I do a 7 hr drive at least once a year to visit her mother down in San Diego, TX. So the drive won't bother me. On a side note, isn't Lake Amistad where an American while on his honeymoon was jet skiing and inadvertently drifted to the Mexico side and was shot by Mexican Patrol? I heard on the news a few months ago, but never heard the end result. Last I heard was the guy is dead and his body was never found. Anyone heard about this or am speaking of the wrong lake? As far as I know Lake Amistad is the only lake bordering Texas and Mexico.
