Sitting on the W/SW shore watching some gulls work the water. What a beautiful lake. Heading out with Chuck Rollins tomorrow at bigcrappie.com Looking very forward to going. Then on Saturday we are fishing with team redneck on Whitney. Looking forward to that as well. Happy fishing everyone. I'll let ya know how we do!

I saw Chuck and Lane this morning, they were on fish and their clients were flat hammering the hybrids.

You won't go wrong with bigcrappie.com. Been out with them 3 times and had a blast each time. Once dock shooting for crappie, one trolling for sandys, and one casting for sandys. Last time ought caught a 3 man limit with my boys in less than 2.5 hours with Jason. Enjoy!

Either that or I was catching 6 pound sandies last week.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Bernie and I got into them Wed, followed school(s) from W. end of dam N. towards Key Ranch. Bernie was ready for them and probably caught 15 or more, I was ready for whites and spent most of my time playing fish or retying lures. Best time Ive ever had (with cloths on) on fresh water!

Chuck and Lane sure put us on the hybrids!
Surfacing hybrids is a sight to behold. Fast action and awesome fighters.
Wow! what a great day of fishing.
Don't know how many keeper hybrids we caught, but had to be 15-20, plus we caught numerous huge whites.
Then the wind picked up, so Chuck took us to do some crappie fishing. We caught more whites, catfish, perch, blacks, and of course, a bunch of big ole crappie!
Great day Chuck! Thanks!
Our next day with Redneck on Whitney... Randy had to call it off due to wind. A bit disappointing, but we will definitely find the time to fish with Randy another day.
So we headed to Brownwood State Park. Did a little bank fishing for the next two days.
Found a nice windy "point" and caught some bait with my cast net. We fished threadfins, minnows, and small perch off the bottom. I guess we caught 20+. Whites, blacks, cats, goos.
Actually caught some really nice whites on perch.. first time for me. But they would inhale them.
Great long weekend of fishing! Only bad part was the hail and thunderstorms that hit Brownwood State Park on Saturday. The tornado warning had us a bit concerned, and the mattress in the cabin must of weighed 200 pounds... we could barely get it to the bathroom. Luckily the worst we got was golf ball sized hail and about 5 dings on my brand new truck... blah.
On another note..CC sure is an unbelievable lake.
You guys that fish it regularly sure are fortunate.
I hope you all appreciate it!

I think I saw you out there at one point. I was in a white Polar fishing in the area of Lane and Chuck. We do appreciate the lake greatly. You have to remember that you were fishing with the best hybrid/sandbass guides on the lake and one of the best possible times of the year. I wish it were always like that, but trust me....it's not.

I just wish now that I bought a house on the south end of the lake and not the middle!! Guess I might have to fire up old red this weekend and come fish off the back. You guys don't mind a 496HO with open exhaust fishing by you do you??

I wish it were always like that, but trust me....it's not. I was to busy fishing to look around much. But I think I saw Kerry out there. As for the fishing, I hear where you are coming from. But near us are several lakes. Our favorite is now at 10%, could barely push our boat off the trailer 2 weekends ago. Luckily an old submerged ramp showed up that I knew nothing about. Maybe it will get us through the summer..... Another lake close by is 1%, another a little over 1% and last I checked, Ivie is about 30%. WE SURE NEED SOME RAIN. And I know you CC guys/gals need rain too. Saw that for myself. Man, I'm sure missing them hybrids this morning.

You guys don't mind a 496HO with open exhaust fishing by you do you?? Karry really likes that especially when there are surfacing fish. It really excites him. It's usually a pontoon so a red speedy will really get him going

I figure if I come in on plane and shut down right on top of the school I should be able to get a few before they leave right??? I like to think of it as a speed sneak attack!!
