Yesterday I made my second trip on Lake Ivie with Tommy Hagler (The Hag). With the way work has been going, just a day off was nice, but once we got on the water the day was great. Fishing for the first hour or two that morning was a little slow, but that's fishing. We are fishing Texas rigs and Carolina rigs without so much as a bite, so Tommy makes the call to move, and it was a good one. We moved to a nice wind blown point where we could see some good shad activity and a good size gar stirring them up and ultimately swimming by us with a nice fat shad in its mouth. Tommy pick up a spinner bait and throws into the frenzy and immediately picks up a nice 8.5-9 pound bass. He tells me to drop the T-rig and pick up a Rattle-trap, which once I started to throw I was hooking up with fish after fish. We found a school of bass feeding on all of these shad. I catch 3 or 4 bass in a matter of 2 minutes, biggest being around 4 pounds or so, then Tommy hooks up again with ANOTHER 8.5 pound bass, it was awesome! we fish that point for the next few hours till the bites started dropping off. I think we caught about 12 or so fish from that one frenzy. All in all we boated probably around 20 fish yesterday. It was a great day off and a great day of fishing. Thanks for the great trip Tommy I will be back! Here are some pics from the trip.

That point has been good for a while. Just about all out of the water now.

Thanks Marc...... Like I said on the lake, You're welcome in my boat anytime! I really enjoyed your company. It's great to have a fellow construction worker in the boat and be able to talk about the industry while having fun. I miss the construction business and can see a great future for you in that business.

we did alright caught 12 between the three of us. We went up into the concho (2) then to the colorado (10)where we hooked most close to the flats near the pump station using wacky rigs and I used some shakey heads with a long minnow looking thing lol (I even caught a gar on it. but didn't count it) the best was a 5.1
